The growth in MR techniques has been incredible over the past decade. Each year brings new sequences to explore, new acronyms to learn, new protocols to adjust. It is a challenge to keep pace with these new applications, maintain consistent image quality and train new staff.
Insert a syngo 2002B CD with the source image (series) into the CD ROM. Use the patient browser to import the source image (series) to your local database. (Patient Browser\Transfer\Import function).

Easy Drag and Drop

Phoenix allows you to click on an image*, drag it into the measurement queue and instantly duplicate the exact protocolTR, TE, bandwidth, number of slices, echo spacing, etc. Phoenix extracts these values from the DICOM header and you are ready to scan. If your system has a different gradient strength configuration from the source image, Phoenix adapts the protocol in less than 30 seconds. To convert images, simply press the shift key while dragging the image into the queue.

Minimize Training Time

The boom in MR imaging has increased the need for new technologists. Now training new employees is streamlined with Phoenix. Even the novice technologist can run sophisticated examsit is as easy as drag and drop. They will spend less time getting new applications to work, and more time actually using them. If a potential hire has used the Somatom Sensation or other Siemens syngobased diagnostic equipment, they will quickly master the MAGNETOM user interface. It all adds up to enhanced productivity.
While in the Exam Task card, open the Patient Browser and the image (Patient\Exam\Series\Image) from the Local Database. Drag and drop this image into the Measurement queue.

* Source images must be acquired with 2002B software (or higher). The MAGNETOM system must be running syngo MR 2002B software (or higher), and have a valid software license to activate the source protocol.
Phoenix extracts the protocol from the source image and puts it directly into the measurement queue (with identical system configurations). When gradient configurations are not identical, press the SHIFT button as you drag and drop, and Phoenix adapts the protocol to your particular system configuration in less than 30 seconds.

Phoenix is also a powerful tool for quality control. Archive a set of standard images on a CD and run them on each new MAGNETOM systemkeeping image quality consistent from machine to machine and site to site.
When Reproducibility is Critical
When exact duplication of image parameters is essential (i.e., post-surgical follow-up, long term studies, multi-center trials), Phoenix really shines. Drag the template data into the queue and the protocol is precisely duplicated for each new study.
