| Stay as far away from this phone as you can. ... Got it for free in a "2 for 1 deal Terrible as a phone and as a PDA. Stay as far away from this phone as you can. I got it for "free" in a 2-for-1 deal, but feel like I have a 3 year prison sentence as a result. | |

| The HTC Touch is a good all-around phone with touch screen capability that is above average for its class. But. As an upgrade from the Palm Treo 700wx I must say this phone is quite an improvement for me. Very compact and comfortable cell phone with long battery life and good working EDGE. PDA functions are good. | |

| Seems like all the new smartphones have their of share of defects. I have a HTC touch. The first one had Windows Mobile 6.1 installed. I think the once the HTC Dream, HTC Dream, and Google Android are released, it will really open up the field of what a cell phone can do. Yes. | |

Pacemakers The Health Industry Manufacturers Association recommends that a minimum separation of six inches be maintained between a handheld wireless phone and a pacemaker to avoid potential interference with the pacemaker. These recommendations are consistent with the independent research by and recommendations of Wireless Technology Research. Persons with pacemakers: Should ALWAYS keep the phone more than six inches from their pacemaker when the phone is turned ON. Should not carry the phone in a breast pocket. Should use the ear opposite the pacemaker to minimize the potential for interference. If you have any reason to suspect that interference is taking place, turn the phone OFF immediately.
Quick Start Guide 53 Hearing Aids Some digital wireless phones may interfere with some hearing aids. In the event of such interference, you may want to consult your service provider, or call the customer service line to discuss alternatives. Other Medical Devices If you use any other personal medical device, consult the manufacturer of your device to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF energy. Your physician may be able to assist you in obtaining this information. Turn the phone OFF in health care facilities when any regulations posted in these areas instruct you to do so. Hospitals or health care facilities may be using equipment that could be sensitive to external RF energy.

Backing up/Restoring your personal data on your HTC Touch Pro (Alltel)
Before updating the software on your HTC Touch Pro, you need to be aware that doing so will permanently delete all of your personal info including but not limited to: settings, files, contacts, calendar, emails, ringtones, pictures/videos, and 3rd party applications. If there is information on your device that you would like to retain, you will need to create a backup copy on your desktop PC prior to installing the new software on your device.
Backing up your PIM's to your PC using Activesync:
To back up your Email, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks to your PC before updating your device software: 1. 2. Connect your device to your PC with the USB cable. Open Activesync (if it does not automatically open) 3. 4. Once Activesync is open, it will automatically start looking for changes and then attempt to sync
Interrupt the sync by clicking on Stop. Go to Tools > Options
Select the items to be synced.
Tap OK and your syncing will begin.
Once the sync has completed, all of the items that you selected will be both on your desktop PC and Device (until the new software is loaded).
Backing up your Pictures, Music, Ringtones, Games and other files using Activesync:
The general sync that you just completed will only sync the items that are listed (and checked) under Options and this may not cover everything that you have on your device. If you have pictures, music, ringtones, games, and other files saved on your device, they will need to be backed up separately.
