Superior Color Reproduction
The greatest advantage of a plasma LFD is its unparalleled color reproduction capability. Unlike plasmas, LCD displays have a shallower viewing angle and tend to distort colors more easily. Plasmas are able to accurately represent colors as they exist in nature so images appear natural and realistic every time.
Power Consumption Equivalent to LCDs
A major flaw of older plasma displays was power consumption. The latest line of Samsung Plasma LFDs run much more efficiently and tackles the issues around power consumption head on. Now compared to similar-sized LCD displays, Samsungs plasma displays consume the same amount of power.
Daisy Chain Interconnection
A daisy chain interconnection of devices allows each one to receive and transmit data to one another, simply and quickly. This also enables the network of devices to be scalable, making it very convenient and efficient to operate. Samsung Plasma LFDs are equipped to be set up in this manner. For analog signals, the LFDs support BNC input/output. (The P42H-2 model does not support BNC output.)
Professional-grade Connectivity
Every Samsung Plasma LFD is capable of supporting a wide range of basic inputs such as VGA, DVI and HDMI. The LFDs can also support RS232 protocol for remote access control of devices and DVI and BNC outputs for transmitting video data. (The P42H-2 model does not support BNC output.)

Remote Access Control

Because every Samsung Plasma LFD supports RS232 protocol, you can control each device remotely. So whether youre in the room next door or in another state, you can control the majority of the displays features such as volume control and power.
Optional Built-in Features
Take advantage of the wide range of optional features that can be built into your Samsung Plasma LFD. Features such as powerful speakers can be installed to meet your audio needs. Sensors to control brightness and temperature can be built in to reduce power consumption and increase the longevity of the display. Plus, a clock battery and cooling fan will help to minimize future maintenance costs.
