It will entail a brand new UI that will integrate all the content and TV menu on the same interface. What is Smart Hub? Smart Hub is the new interface that will provide customers with easy access to all their content, apps, new features like Web Browser, Your Video, Search All, Samsung Apps, and Social TV. Smart Hub will also provide users the access to TV menu. What is Social TV? Social TV is the ultimate way of communicating with your friends on SNS using Samsung TV. A user doesnt need to pick up another device to communicate with friends while watching TV. The feed never gets lost and users are provided with a Hot Key on the remote to access this feature. Can I chat with my contacts on Facebook using Social TV feature? No, you can only update your status message on Facebook using Social TV. However, you will be able to use Google Talk for chatting. What is Your Video? Your Video is the smart video recommendation service by Samsung. The recommendations are provided based on customers usage pattern. Your Video will serve as a Movie information app. Users can check information about the Videos/Titles available in the service. Is my live TV viewing pattern also noted before recommending content? There is plan for time slot based recommendation. This is aimed at enabling the TV as a family device so that the recommendations are based on the programs watched at specic time of the day. This feature is being planned currently. Whats the rst recommendation when I rst connect to the TV? The rst recommendation when using Your Video will be the most favorite searched and bookmarked in the region. Do we get to use qwerty keypad in 2011? We believe that users would be intimated by seeing too many keys on the main remote control for TV. However, if a user intends to use qwerty keypad, we have TV remote app on all android devices. Will we have wireless connectivity in 2011? D6600+ have in-built wireless connectivity. In addition, we are bundling a free wireless USB dongle for all Smart TV purchase (limited period only) in Singapore. Will 2010 TVs be able to access 2011 Smart TV service? No, the new Smart Hub services are available only in 2011 TV and AV sets.

Can a user customise setting on the Smart Hub UI? Users can customise part of the Smart Hub UI by adding more apps on the forthcoming pages and browsing through them. But users cannot modify the TV menu-related icons like Channel, Guide, Web Browser, Videos, Photos, Music, Schedule Manager, Source, All Share, Social TV, etc. What is Search All? Search All allows a user to search for any content from all possible sources. The sources include Web, Samsung Apps, Live TV(EPG), Your Video and personal content (All Share). Users are provided with a Hot Key on the remote to access this feature. Does Search All provide results from PVR/DVR also? Yes, it searches for content in your personal sources using wireless DLNA.

Can we open any website using Web Browser? Yes, it is possible to open any website on TV using the web browser. However, it is possible to use the feature called Child Lock to block certain websites if the user wishes to. There is also possibility of bookmarking favorite websites. Can I access protected content from VOD or broadcasters websites? Any website can be opened using our web browser but if the website owner chooses to block our browser, they can do so. Thus, it is dependant on the website owners choice. Can I download content from the internet using Web Browser? Due to lack of memory, users cannot download content from websites. Can we access Web Browser in dual view mode? Broadcast plus browsing? Yes, it will be possible to browse the web simultaneously with broadcast.
