Good short wash and sparkling clean Position of space in kitchen meant extended hose - a bit complicated to install. Looks good, good choice of wash cycles, quiet. The only other dishwasher I have owned, was a Hoover which I had for 18 years of untroubled service.

HOOVER "NEXTRA" FRONT LOADING WASHING MACHINES:
A) Starting the Auto -test Sequence: Push and hold the 1 st Option's Button from left (Ref. 1 in Picture 1). Turn the Knob of the Program's Selector 2 steps in clockwise sense. As soon as the LED of the 1 st Option's Button comes up lighted, release the button. All LEDs of Control Panel are lighted together (see Picture 2): After 3 seconds and within 5 seconds, push again the Option's Button n. 1 (see Picture 2).
Picture 2 Once the Auto -test is correctly initialized, the two rows of the LEDs of Residual Time and of the Option's Buttons start flashing alternatively. Fro this moment onward, the Auto-test Checking Routine sequence is carried out automatically, as it's next described:
Description of the Sequence of Auto -test:
B1) Water load to the basic level (through detergent compartment n. 1 (Pre-wash), carried out through the Cold Water Solenoid Valve (and Hot Water Valve too, when present. If present, it's fed the Recycle Pump. B2) 1 second pause. B3) It's fed for 16 seconds the Water Heating Element (9.10 A on digital ammeter); the water distribution cam moves the Water Spray Nozzle over the detergent compartment n. 2 (Wash). B4) Are simultaneously fed the Solenoid Valve for Cold Water (and for Hot Water, when present), the Recycle Pump (when present) and the main Motor, to tumble the Drum at 55 rpm in counterclockwise sense, for 13 seconds. B5) Motor is paused for 15 seconds. Water load continues, as above described. B6) Are simultaneously fed the Solenoid Valve for Cold Water (and for Hot Water, when present), the Recycle Pump (when present) and the main Motor, to tumble the Drum at 55 rpm in clockwise sense, for 13 seconds. In this phase, if the Option's Button n. 3 is pushed (see Picture 2), the Drum's speed of revolution can be reduced from 55 to 35 rpm. B7) It's fed the Drain Pump, until the Pressure Switch is tripped to the "Empty Tank" condition. B8) It's carried out a short Spin Sequence, lasting 27 seconds, at the half of the maximum speed available. End of the Auto-test routine.
C) TROUBLESHOOTING AND DISPLAYING OF THE ERROR CODES: All Washing Machines belonging to the new Hoover "Nextra" range, are supplied with a peculiar software, capable of recognizing and displaying the Error Codes corresponding to the most important troubles that may happen, both during the normal Washing Cycle than during the carrying out of the Auto-test routine. Each time a serious trouble happens, the related Error Code is stored into the EEprom memory, the currently running washing cycle (or Auto-test) is halted and the same Error Code is displayed. This is a valid help to the Service Technician, in order to make easier the identification of the reason of the trouble. The Error Codes are displayed by making flash simultaneously the START LED and the LED OF THE 1 st OPTION'S BUTTON (see Picture 3). The length of each displaying of an Error Code is 15 seconds. During this period of time, both LEDs flash together at the frequency of 1 Hz (1 flash per second), the number of their flashes in the 15 seconds period being the actual Error Code. After the Code was displayed, both LEDs stay OFF until the end of the 15 seconds period. Then, the sequence is repeated. Example: Error Code n. 2 (missing completion of the water load, within the designed limit time) is so displayed: 2 flashes by the 2 LEDs together, in the 1 st 2 seconds (0.5" ON 0.5" OFF). 13 seconds both LEDs are switched off. The sequence as above is repeated. Figura 3

D) LIST OF THE PRESENTLY AVAILABLE ERROR CODES:
Error Code Error 1 Error 2 Number of Flashes by 2 LEDs Time the 2 LEDs stay OFF Possible reason of the Error Warning: Door Lock Safety Device open circuit and/or Wiring. Missing completion of the Water Load Phase, within the designed limit time of 5 minutes and 18 seconds, due to Low Hydraulic Pressure, faulty Solenoid Valve and/or clogged Fill Hose. Missing completion of the Water Drain Phase, within the designed limit time of 6 minutes, due to clogged Pump's Filter and /or clogged Drain Hose or clogged domestic drain system.

Error 3

Error Code Error 4
Number of Flashes by 2 LEDs 4
Time the 2 LEDs stay OFF 11
Possible reason of the Error Warning: 3 sequential operations by the Anti-flood Contacts of the Pressure Switch, due to Mechanically Blocked Opened Solenoid Valve or faulty Pressure Switch. Faulty NTC Temperature Reading Probe and/or Wiring and/or "Core" Board. Ohmic values of NTC Probe are: 20 Kohm at 25C 2.14 Kohm at 85C. Defective "Core" Control Board. Main Motor's Rotor is jammed. Short or Open Circuited Motor's Tachometric Dynamo and/or Wiring. Ohmic values of Tacho's Coil as follows: Ohmic Value with Ceset Motor: 42 Ohm Ohmic Value with Hoover Motor: 156 Ohm Ohmic Value with Sole Motor: 184 Ohm Short Circuited Motor's Triac on the "Core" Control Board and/or defective "Core" Control Board. Faulty Program's Selector and/or Wiring. Faulty Wiring and/or defective "Core" Control Board.

Error 5 Error 6 Error 7

Error 8

Error 9 Error 10 Error 0

Making reference to the above resuming table of the available Error Codes, we like to remind the importance of the perfect continuity of the electric wiring and of the related connectors, when dealing with electronic controls of the "Core" family. This is both true for the contacts on the Control Board then for the corresponding contacts on the controlled peripherals (Program's Selector, Display Board, etc.) A partial oxidation of some connector's contacts on the "Core" Control Board (or on the connected peripherals, such as the Program's Selector and the Door Lock Safety Device), could generate the displaying of a peripheral related Error Code, even being the involved peripheral in perfect conditions. Therefore, we suggest to carefully check the related wiring, before any replacement of the "Core" Control Board and before replacing any of the related peripherals. A valid check of the wiring can be performed by removing the connectors from their location (both on the Control Board then on the related Peripheral) and by spraying inside the same connectors a small amount of Contact Cleaner liquid. Then, re-fit the connector in position and re-start the Auto-test routine, to see if the Error Warning is displayed again.

Best regards.

GIAS S.r.l.
