Enjoy the best of both worlds. Passenger car ride and handling combined with controlled mastery of difficult driving conditions. Opel Antaras advanced all-wheel drive system, with standard ESP, guarantees a perfect drive in all situations.
All-wheel drive. The Opel Antara is equipped with an electronically controlled all-wheel drive drive train. In normal driving conditions the power is delivered to the front wheels. However in difficult or slippery conditions it will automatically engage the all-wheel drive, delivering the drive 50 : 50 front to rear, for optimal traction. Front-wheel drive is available for 2.4 petrol and 2.0 CDTI diesel engines, standard on Opel Antara and optional on Enjoy.
Electronic driving systems. The Opel Antara utilises highly developed electronic drivers support systems to enhance active safety. In addition to its normal function the ABS also offers: Cornering Brake Control (CBC), which improves stability when braking in curves by reducing brake pressure on the inner wheels. Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), which automatically increases braking pressure when the driver steps heavily on the brake, progressively increasing the pressure to the maximum, thus dramatically reducing braking distance. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) fitted to the Opel Antara includes standard Traction Control (TC) and Descent Control System (DCS). The perfect interplay of these systems with the intelligent all-wheel drive not only delivers a high degree of driving satisfaction and comfort, but also high reserves of active safety.
Descent Control System (DCS). The Opel Antara is fitted with an incline Descent Control System as standard equipment. Activating the DCS maintains a constant descent speed which is preselected via the accelerator pedal.
The key element of the SAFETEC system in the Opel Antara is the extremely rigid passenger safety cell. This minimises mechanical deformation and preserves the maximum possible survival area under all accident conditions. In the event of a frontal collision, the energy is distributed over three distinct load paths. In low speed collisions, special deformable cells at the front and a monoblock system at the rear of the frame absorb the crash energy reducing repair costs.
Front lights. The standard fog lamps are recessed into the lower valence. Xenon headlamps, with dynamic height adjustment and high-pressure wash system, are optional.
Automatic Lighting Control (ALC). Special sensors enable the car to adapt to light levels of the road ahead and will automatically activate dipped beam if necessary.
Child seats. Opel offers several child seats for all ages. All of them can be fixed with ISOFIX attachment (incl. Top Tether Kit) and/or the standard 3-point vehicle safety belt. All seats comply with the latest EU safety standards including side impact protection. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Loss of pressure is shown in the instrument display, and the respective tyre is shown in the Graphic Info Display (GID) or the Colour Info Display (CID).

Airbag system. The Opel Antara has front and side airbags as standard for the driver and front passenger, they work together with height-adjustable seat belts, with pretensioners, for exceptional front seat safety. Large volume curtain airbags offer additional protection for the front and outer rear seat passengers.

Change up for fun.

The Opel Antara offers engine and gearbox combinations perfectly matched to the impressive capabilities of the all-wheel drive system. Sporty manual or relaxed automatic, you can choose how to be in the right gear for a great drive.
Manual transmission. 5-speed manual transmission is available as standard on the 2.4 ECOTEC and the 2.0 CDTI ECOTEC diesel engines.
Opel ECOTEC engines are both responsive and responsible, combining high torque for efficiency and effortless power with improved fuel economy and low emission levels. All four engines deliver smooth, refined power and meet Euro 4 emission standards. The range topping 3.2 V6 offers 167 kW (227 hp), the 2.kW (140 hp) and the 2.0 CDTI diesel engines 110 kW (150 hp) or 93 kW (127 hp) respectively. A maintenance-free particle filter, which reduces the output of harmful emissions by over 90 %, is standard equipment with both 2.0 CDTI diesel engines.
Automatic transmission. 5-speed ActiveSelect automatic transmission is standard on the 3.2 V6 ECOTEC and optionally available on the 2.0 CDTI ECOTEC diesel engine with 110 kW.

All figures quoted relate to the EU base model with standard equipment. The fuel consumption calculation based on guideline 1999/100/EC takes into consideration vehicle weight when empty as specified by the guideline. Additional equipment may lead to slightly higher results than the stated consumption and CO2 figures. In addition, it may increase the weight of the vehicle when empty and in some cases the permissible axle weights as well as the permissible total weight of the vehicle and reduce the permissible towing weights. This may lead to a reduction in top speed and increased acceleration time. The driving performance figures shown are attainable when the vehicle is empty (without driver) plus a load of 200 kilograms.
Tilt and slide sunroof. The electric tilt and slide sunroof offers draughtfree ventilation in tilt form. The control unit is comfortably reachable between the front reading lamps, it also features a holder for sunglasses.

Tilt and telescope steering column. The steering column tilts and slides for extra driving comfort, also speedsensitive power steering is standard.
Cruise control. Cruise control is the most convenient and fuel-efficient way to maintain a constant speed over longer distances. It features tip up/tip down control to fit exactly to the prevailing traffic conditions.
Park Pilot. Front and rear-mounted sensors activate an acoustic warning of potential parking hazards. The system can be switched off by a push button in the centre console.
Rain sensor. Mounted in the rearview mirror housing, the rain sensor recognises the amount of moisture on the windscreen and activates the windscreen wiper. The wiper speed is automatically regulated.
Power seat. The optional 8-way power drivers seat of the Opel Antara allows for easy adjustment whilst driving.
Power windows and mirrors. Electric windows front and rear, with one-touch and anti-pinch facility and heated power mirrors, which can be manually folded, are standard on the Opel Antara.
Door to door illumination. See in the dark after parking your Opel Antara. Activate before locking the doors, and the headlamps and reversing light remain illuminated for 30 seconds.
Centre armrest. The centre console offers a comfortable armrest with handy storage space.
Air conditioning. The standard manual air-conditioning system of the Opel Antara is equipped with an air recirculation function that rapidly increases the cooling power. Electronic Climate Control (ECC). Simply choose your temperature and relax, the electronic control keeps it constant.

Rear cupholders. Conveniently mounted cupholders for the rear passengers are typical of the attention to rear passenger comfort.
Heated front seats. Oversized heating elements in the seat backs and cushions enable the front seats to reach a comfortable temperature in a very short time. There are three separate heat settings.
Waste container in centre console. A neat idea is the removable waste container mounted in the centre console, so keeping the car tidy need not be so difficult.
Quickheat. An electronically controlled rapid de-icing and heating system. It ensures good windscreen visibility and warm interior even shortly after a cold start. Standard with diesel engine.

Trailer hitch. The towing attachment is easily attached when needed or detached when not required. With standard Trailer Stability Program up from Enjoy, the Opel Antara is the perfect choice for trailer operation.
Base carrier. Solid aluminium construction. Base for a multiple choice of roof carrier systems. Carrying capacity 75 kg.
Flex-Fix system. Always on board, this innovative feature is concealed within the rear bumper. When extended two bikes can be quickly and easily attached thanks to the carriers low height.
FlexOrganizer system. Opel Antara is pre-fitted with the mounting points for the FlexOrganizer system. This ingenious load organiser features rails to which a variety of dividers, nets and other storage facilities can be attached.
Dumplatch front passenger seat. The optional dumplatch system allows the front passenger seat back to fold forward to accommodate extra long items. It is part of the Cosmo Comfort Pack.
Passenger seat undertray. Slide out extra space for journey needs and necessities, accessible right under the front passenger seat.
