LAS VEGAS, Nev., Jan. 8, 2007 Phoenix Gold (phoenixgold.com) is proud to announce that it will debut its new Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier at the 2007 CES, held from Jan. 8-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #1031 (North Hall). The new Roadster amp is a 5-channel, 1,000 watt powerhouse with a limited build quantity of that is scheduled to ship in spring 07 with a suggested retail price of $1,299.99. Phoenix Golds new Roadster amp is built in the tradition of the original PG Route 66 amp, but with modern state-of-the-art technologies, performance and aesthetics which will once again bring pride of ownership to todays 12Volt enthusiast, explained Tim Leahy, Phoenix Golds director of marketing. Phoenix Gold was the first to create the concept of limited edition car amplifiers, and we are continuing the tradition with the new Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier. Leahy added that with a limited build quantity, only authorized Phoenix Gold RSD dealers may sell the new Roadster 66 amplifier. Phoenix Gold also plans to launch an exclusive on-line community (Roadster66.com) in conjunction with the scheduled spring product launch where past Route 66 and present Roadster 66 owners worldwide may share stories and images of their installs and experiences. The Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier features RSD amplifier technologies and the classic intelligent, symmetrical circuit board layout that has been a Phoenix Gold hallmark since its inception. Key features of the Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier include: Poly-film box capacitors and 1 percent precision metal film resistors installed in signal path for predictable, low noise, linear operation On-board protection circuitry monitors abnormal conditions such as voltage spikes, short circuit and over thermal limits. When any of these conditions exist, the protection circuit will shut down the amplifier and light up the protection indicator to identify that a problem exists.
