Crafted For Life Delmont, Switzerland 1893
Over a century ago, Wenger built a factory in this tiny Swiss village and transformed it into production headquarters for the Genuine Swiss Army Knife still used by the Swiss Army today. As it was 100 years ago, each tool, implement and knife manufactured by Wenger is crafted by hand in solid stainless steel and each individually inspected for quality and craftsmanship. This same attention to detail has been applied to genuine Wenger watches. Wenger watches are Swiss-designed, -engineered and -crafted with only the most accurate Swiss movement available. Each watch is constructed with form and function that last a lifetime. As with the genuine Swiss Army knife, Wenger watches are durable, high quality, and versatile enough for use on any occasion. Wenger watches are engineered to provide the same resourcefulness as the genuine Swiss Army knife, supplying functionality beyond the everyday.

Setting the Time and Date on Standard Watches
(see Table of Contents on p.1 for other watches)
Important note: If the crown of your watch does not pull directly out or if your watch is water-resistant to 200m, then you may have a watch with a screw-down crown. Rotate the crown counterclockwise until the crown moves away from the watch. This will set the crown in Position 1. Always screw down the crown after making any adjustments. This is very important as the screwdown crown assures water resistance.
1. Pull out the crown to Position 2 (one click out). Rotate crown counterclockwise until the date shows one day earlier than the date you want to set. 2. Pull out the crown to Position 3 (two clicks out). Rotate crown so the watch hands move clockwise until the current date shows. Then set the watch hands to the correct time. Turn the watch hands past 12 once if youre setting the watch for a P.M. time. Push the crown back to Position 1. 3. For a watch with day and date display, pull out the crown of the watch to Position 2, turn it clockwise to change the day and counterclockwise to change the date. 4. Return the crown to the fully depressed Position 1, assuring the crown has been further screwed down on all 200m watches.
For Watches Without a Date Display
1. To set the time for watch without date display, pull out the crown to Position 2. Turn the crown either clockwise or counterclockwise to set the correct time. 2. Return the crown to the fully depressed Position 1, assuring the crown has been screwed down on all 200m watches.
Setting the Time and Date on Automatic Watches
1. Pull out the crown to Position 2 (one click out). Rotate crown clockwise until the date shows one day earlier than the date you want to set. (continued next page)
3. For a watch with day and date display, pull out the crown of the watch to Position 2, turn it clockwise to change the day and counterclockwise to change the date. 4. Return the crown to the fully depressed Position 1, assuring the crown has been further screwed down on all 200m watches.
Stopped Automatic Watches
If the watch is not worn it will wind down and stop. We suggest the following procedure to start an automatic watch which has stopped. With the crown in Position 1, wind the crown clockwise for approximately 30 seconds, and the watch will start.

Deployant buckles on bracelets are generally double deployant, or two-sided to hide the buckle and give the bracelet a seamless appearance. 1. Have the watch tted by a professional jeweler and the appropriate links removed. 2. Gently pull on either side of the clasp to open, or press down to close.
Caring for Your Watch
Even though your watch is water-resistant, it is not recommended that you wear it in a hot shower, sauna or hot tub. We suggest sending your Wenger watch to our Customer Service Center for battery replacement (please see procedure under Warranty Service). Batteries should only be replaced by a professional jeweler to maintain the watchs water-resistancy. If your watch has a bracelet, we suggest you see a jeweler for any sizing adjustments.

Your Tide Watch
Your Wenger Tide Watch is accurate for the Atlantic Ocean tides only. It will not accurately track tides for other oceans. Your Wenger Tide Watch is capable of tracking tides in two locations, a home (primary) and a destination (secondary) port, as an example. The Tide Indicator hand (see page 3) tracks the progress of the Tide for both the primary and secondary tides. It will make one revolution approximately every 12 hours and 25 minutes (the approximate time between the two high tides and two low tides each day). The progress of the tide for your primary location can be read on the Primary Tide Indicator (the inner ring closest to the center of the watch dial), with High Tide at the 12:00 position and Low Tide at the 6:00 position. The progress of the tide for your secondary location can be read on the Bezel/Secondary Tide Indicator (the rotatable outer ring of the watch). (continues on next page)
About Tides
Your Wenger Tide watch measures lunar tides which are created by the attraction of the Earth and the moon. The moon pulls at water causing oceans to constantly move. As the moon travels around the earth and they travel around the sun, the combined gravitational forces cause the worlds oceans to rise and fall. The Earth makes one full axis revolution every 24 hours yet it takes the Moon 29 days to make one revolution around The Earth. As a result, it takes approximately 24 hours and 50 minutes for the moon to align with the same location on Earth. Approximately twice a day, powered by the moons attraction, the oceans swell toward coastlines, reach their crest, and then begin to recede once more. These ebbs and ows cause two High and two Low tides approximately every day. For more information on Tides, we suggest researching the internet.
The numerals in the inner ring (primary tide indicator) indicate the approximate number of hours until the respective tides (example at right: the Tide Indicator Hand is pointing to the number 2 in the blue eld, indicating that there are approximately 2 hours until High Tide in the primary location). The numerals on the bezel provide the same function for the secondary location.

We suggest that you set your Wenger Tide Watch in the following order: 1. Date 2. Time 3. Moon Phase
LO W TIDE TIDE Setting the Time and Date
Important note: Your watch features a screw-down crown which ensures water resistance. Rotate the crown counterclockwise until the crown moves away from the watch. This will set70832 TIDE the crown in Position 1. Always screw down70832 TIDE the crown 70832 TIDE after making any adjustments. This is very important. 1. Pull out the crown to Position 2 (one click out). Rotate crown clockwise until the date shows one day earlier than the date you want to set.
4. Primary Tide Location 5. Secondary Tide Location (when desired)
2. Pull out the crown to Position 3 (two clicks out). Rotate crown so the watch hands move clockwise until the current date shows. Then set the watch hands to the correct time. Turn the watch hands past 12 once if youre setting the watch for a P.M. time.
3. Return the crown to Position 1. Then screw it down fully.
Setting the Moon Phase
Important Note: It is recommended that you set the Moon Phase during a Full Moon in your local area. Setting the Moon Phase Indicator by estimating may cause inaccuracies. For practical purposes you may approximate the phase of the moon and set the watch accordingly but always recalibrate at a full moon.
Full moon
Setting the Primary Tide
Important Note: It is recommended that you set the Tide Indicator Hand at exactly High Tide or exactly Low Tide in your local area. Read the Your Tide Watch section on pages 5 and 6, and refer to the General Features and Components illustration on page 3 for more information on the Primary Tide indicators. 1. Refer to a Tide Chart for your local area and determine the time of High or Low Tide for today. 2. At exactly High Tide or exactly Low Tide depress the Bottom Pusher for approximately 2 seconds until you hear a beep (see #4 below). Release it. 3. Press the Bottom Pusher to advance the Tide Indicator Hand to either the High Tide (12:00 position) or Low Tide Indicator (6:00 position) depending on the present tide. Hold the Top Pusher down to advance more quickly. 4. If left idle for 3 seconds, watch will beep again and exit the setting mode.
1. Refer to a Moon Phase chart from newspapers, the internet or marine sources. Note the current phase of the moon at your location. 2. Press the Top Pusher for approximately 2 seconds until you hear a beep (see #4 below). Release it.
First quarter New moon
Last quarter
3. Press the Top Pusher again to advance the small red Moon Phase Indicator to the appropriate phase. Hold the Top Pusher down to advance more quickly.
4. If left idle for 3 seconds, watch will beep again and automatically exit the setting mode. 5. The small red Moon Phase Indicator will make one revolution every 29 days.
Reading the Primary Tide
1. Once the Tide Indicator Hand is set as detailed above, you can begin tracking the tide in your primary location (Read the Your Tide Watch section on page 5 and refer to the General Features and Components illustration on page 3 for more information on the Primary Tide indicators.) 2. The Tide Indicator hand will rotate at a rate of approximately 12 hours and 25 minutes. Over this period of time the watch will indicate one High Tide and one Low Tide per location for your primary location. 3. When the Tide Indicator Hand is in the blue zone (left side of the dial) the tide is rising or ooding. When its in the red zone (right side of the dial) the tide is falling or ebbing. 4. The numerals (4 and 2) in both the blue and red zones indicate the approximate number of hours before the next High Tide and Low Tide respectively. The vertical lines within these zones indicate interval hours relative to the 4 and 2.
Setting the Secondary Tide
Important Note: It is recommended that you set the Secondary Tide at exactly High Tide or exactly Low Tide. Read the Your Tide Watch section on page 5 and refer to the General Features and Components illustration on page 3 for more information on the Secondary Tide indicators. 1. Once the Tide Indicator Hand is set at your primary location you are ready to set the tide for a secondary location (a destination port as an example). 2. Refer to a Tide Chart for the second location and determine High or Low Tide for today. 3. At exactly High Tide or exactly Low Tide at the second location rotate the bezel (counterclockwise) so that the Tide Indicator Hand (red hand) points to the appropriate tide. Important Note: While the above is the most accurate way to set the Tide for the second location it may not always be practical. See section Alternate Method for Setting the Secondary Tide (page 13) for a more practical, but less precise method for setting the second tide.
Reading the Secondary Tide
1. Once the Tide Indicator Hand is set for the primary location and the bezel is set for the secondary location, you can begin tracking the tide in your secondary location (Note the illustration on page 3 which shows the secondary location High and Low tide indicators on the bezel). 2. The tide in the secondary location should be read solely from the markings on the bezel. The tide indicator hand will indicate two High and two low tides in approximately a 24 hour and 50 minute period. 3. Note that four triangles on the bezel are blue and four are red. As well there are blue numerals (4 and 2), and red numerals (4 and 2). When the Tide Indicator hand is between the blue triangles or blue numerals, the tide is rising. When its between the red triangles or red numerals the tide is falling. 4. Both the red and the blue numerals (4 and 2) indicate the approximate number of hours before the next High Tide and Low Tide respectively. The triangles indicate interval hours relative to the 4s and 2s.
Alternate Method for Setting the Secondary Tide
Important Note: While the following method may be the most practical way to set the Tide for the second location it is not the most accurate. See Setting the Secondary Tide (page 11) for the most precise method for setting the second tide. 1. Once the High/Low Tide Indicator is set at your home location you can set the High/Low Tide Indicator at a second location (a destination port, for example). 2. Refer to a Tide Chart for the secondary location and determine High Tide for today. 3. Determine the difference in hours and minutes between High Tide at the primary location and High Tide at the secondary location. 4. Rotate the bezel so that the High Tide indicator (on the bezel) is positioned to reect the difference between the High Tide in the primary location and High Tide in the secondary location in minutes and hours. (example: if the High Tide in the primary location is 7:34 and the High Tide in the second location is 8:34, (continues on next page)
set the High Tide indicator on the bezel 1 hour ahead of the Tide Indicator hand). Important Note: Again, this is not an exact setting of the second tide. This method should only be used when an estimated tide in a secondary location is required. It is suggested that any necessary adjustments be made at exactly High Tide or Low Tide at the secondary location. 5. At exactly High Tide or exactly Low Tide at the second location rotate the bezel (counterclockwise) so that the Tide Indicator Hand (red hand) points to the appropriate tide (either exactly High Tide or exactly Low Tide). For more information on Tides, we suggest researching the internet.
