The Casio EX-S880rd is a great camera, has taken the best pictures than the rest of the cameras I have. The camera worked fine for about 6 months or so. Afterwards macro function refused to work. After a year.

This is my second Casio Exilim. I love the camera. My favorite feature is the one touch video button. However. would NEVER purchase another Casio product

Great Camera! I have had this camera now for 3 years. Have never had any issues with it. The images are great and its easy to use and carry. Quite working in less than a year My experience is very similar to a previous poster.

This is a very convenient digital camera for every occasions. It feels very sturdy and elegant. Also it would fit in any pockets.

I got this camera for my father, who is a devoted follower of Casio. At first. No doubt, this is a very pretty looking camera. It stands apart from the black/grey cameras that flood the marketplace. Also.

My Casio EXILIM EX-S600D "DivX-Edition" got nicked (stolen) in Holland and therefore I had to buy a replacement. my S770 died (went into the washing machine)... I loved it so much that I got this one... Is as good as the S770....

Casio Launches YouTube Enabled Exilim EX-S880 and EX-Z77

Ebay is not cool anymore

Casio has been lately more concerned with new hilarious modes than with actual photographic innovations and the latest two models are the living proof. You might remember the classic "Ebay mode" found on the EXILIM EX-Z850. If you actually own one of those, you can now improve your collection with a new YouTube capture mode featured by the EX-S880 and EX-Z77. I'm not saying that Casio's cameras are worse than the competition's are, but the company's marketing gimmicks are by far the most amusing. Apparently, Casio has signed an agreement with now Google-owned YouTube to "include a unique YouTube Capture mode and bundle software to provide ideal settings for recording, storing and uploading video". "The increased popularity of video sharing Web sites such as YouTube offers a great opportunity for innovation," said John Homlish, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Casio, Inc. "We recognized that there was a demand for an easier way to upload high-quality video and are thrilled to be the first digital camera company to be able to offer a solution for consumers," he added. The Exilim EX-S880 boasts a 8.1MP CCD while the Exilim EX-Z77 houses a 7.2MP sensor and they both have a 3x optical zoom and ISO sensitivities ranging between 50-66 to 800. Maximum aperture wise, the EX-S880 offers a maximum value of f/2.7 while the EX-Z77 is capable of opening the iris up to f/3.1. At the tele end however, these values drop to f/5.2 and f/5.9, respectively. As you can see, when it comes to actual photographs, there are not too many innovations, so don't expect revolutionary things. However, the video department is much better represented by the H.264 codec, which produces MPEG-4 quality videos with a reduced size footprint. The EX-S880 is available in red and black with an MSRP of $299.99. The EX-Z77 is available in black, blue, pink and silver with an MSRP of $229.99.
