Great camera... If it was stolen today I would buy another one without thinking twice. Great camera, simple to use and fast fast fast! I ordered this, and a heatsink, and it came with the bundled case and card. The camera came after 1 day, the card and the case after 2. If you are looking at getting into DSLRs (Digital SLR) this camera is a great transition.

it is normally not necessary to change the setting, select when borderless printing an image shot in (Widescreen) mode on wide size paper using Canon compact photo printer SELPHY CP750/CP740/CP730/CP720/CP710/ CP510. As this setting will be stored to memory even when the power is turned off, to print using an image size other than , return the mode to [Auto] (however, the connection method cannot be changed while connected to a printer).

Using the LCD Monitor

) Playback Mode ( No Information )

1. Use the or button to select. The zoom bar will display while you adjust the zoom. At zoom ranges not possible for macro photography, the bar will appear yellow and the icon will gray out. The image will be recorded at standard focusing distance.
To Cancel the Macro Mode Press and use the or

(Normal).

Use the LCD monitor to compose close-ups in macro mode since images composed with the viewfinder may be offcenter. Using the flash in macro mode may cause image edges to darken.

Using the Self-Timer

You can set the time delay and the numbers of shots you wish to take in advance.
10 sec. Self-Timer: shoots 10 seconds after you press the shutter button. 2 seconds before the shutter releases, the self-timer lamp and sound speed up. 2 sec. Self-Timer: shoots 2 seconds after you press the shutter button. The self-timer sound beeps quickly when you press the shutter button and the shutter releases 2 seconds later. Custom Timer: you can change the delay time (0-10, 15, 20, 30 sec.) and number of shots (1-10*). When [Delay] is set to 2 or more seconds, the self-timer sound beeps quickly 2 seconds before the shutter releases.
Configure the self-timer mode.
1. Press the button. 2. Use the or button to select and the or button to change the option. 3. Press the button.

Shoot.

When the shutter button is pressed fully, the self-timer will activate and the self-timer lamp will blink (when using red-eye reduction, it will stay lit for the last 2 seconds).
To Cancel the Self-Timer Follow Step 1 to display.
* Default setting is 3 shots.
Changing the Delay Time and Number of Shots

Select

1. Press the button. 2. Use the or button to select and choose with the or button. 3. Press the button.
1. Use the or button to select [Delay] or [Shots] and change the settings with the or button. 2. Press the button. 3. Press the button.
If the [Shots] option is set to 2 or more shots, the following occurs. - The exposure and white balance are locked at the settings selected for the first shot. - If the flash is used, the interval between shots lengthens because the flash must charge. - The interval between shots may lengthen when the built-in memory of the camera fills. - Shooting will automatically cease if the memory card becomes full.

Configure the shutter speed.
Use the or button to change the shutter speed.
If the aperture value is shown in red, the image is underexposed (insufficient light) or overexposed (too much light). Use the or button to adjust the shutter speed until the aperture value shows in white. The nature of CCDs is such that noise in the recorded image increases at slow shutter speeds. This camera, however, applies special processing to images shot at shutter speeds slower than 1.3 seconds to eliminate the noise, thereby producing high-quality images. (However, a certain amount of processing time may be required before the next image can be shot.)
The aperture value and shutter speed change according to the zoom state as follows
Aperture Value Maximum Wide Angle Maximum Telephoto f/2.8 3.5 f/4.0 8.0 f/4.8 6.3 f/7.1 8.0 Shutter Speed (seconds) 15 1/1/1/1/2000
The fastest shutter speed for flash synchronization is 1/500 second. Therefore, even if the shutter speed is preset to a speed higher than 1/500 second, the camera automatically resets the shutter speed to 1/500 second during shooting. Shutter Speed Display The following shutter speeds can be set. 1/160 indicates 1/160 second. Also, 0"3 indicates 0.3 second and 2" indicates 2 seconds.
15" 13" 10" 8" 6" 5" 4" 3"2 2"5 2" 1"6 1"3 1" 0"8 0"6 0"5 0"4 0"3 1/4 1/5 1/6 1/8 1/10 1/13 1/15 1/20 1/25 1/30 1/40 1/50 1/60 1/80 1/100 1/125 1/160 1/200 1/250 1/320 1/400 1/500 1/640 1/800 1/1000 1/1250 1/1600 1/2000

Setting the Aperture

Shooting Mode The aperture adjusts the amount of light entering through the lens. When you set the aperture value, the camera automatically selects a shutter speed to match the brightness. Selecting a lower aperture value (opening the aperture) allows you to blur the background and create a beautiful portrait. A higher aperture value (closing it) brings the entire range from foreground to background into focus. The larger the aperture value, the greater the range of the image brought into clear focus.
Configure the aperture setting.
Use the or button to change the aperture value.

Aperture Value

If the shutter speed is shown in red, the image is underexposed (insufficient light) or overexposed (too much light). Adjust the aperture value using the or button until the shutter speed display turns to white. Some aperture values may not be available with certain zoom positions (p. 87).
The maximum shutter speed with synchronized flash is 1/500 second. Therefore, even if an aperture value is preset, the aperture value may automatically be reset to match the synchronized flash speed. Aperture Value Display The larger the aperture value, the smaller the lens aperture.

Since AF frames do not display in mode, aim the camera so that the focus is on the target subject. When shooting with the focus lock or AF lock using the LCD monitor, setting [AF Frame] to [Center] (p. 93) makes shooting easier since the camera focuses using the center AF frame only. A note about Aperture, Depth of Field, and Field of View
Aperture- a mechanism behind the camera lens similar to the iris of your eye, opening and closing to adjust the amount of light entering the camera. The aperture opening also determines the Depth of Field of the image. Depth of Field- describes the objects in the image which are in focus, in terms of their distance from the camera. For example, a camera focused at 30m, with a Depth of Field of 8m, will have objects from 26-34m from the camera in focus. Objects closer than 26m or further than 34m will start to become blurry. Field of View- the vertical Field of View (vFOV) of the 0-360 attachment. The 0-360 has a vFOV of 115 degrees, meaning it will see from 52.5 above the horizon to 62.5 below the horizon. A smaller Aperture opening (higher F-Stop number) allows less light to enter the camera, but yields a higher Depth of Field. With a high F-Stop, the shutter speed needs to be slowed down to allow more light (else a dark photo), but will have more Depth of Field in focus. A larger Aperture opening (lower F-Stop number) allows more light to enter the camera, but a lower Depth of Field. This means the shutter speed can be faster, but fewer objects will be in focus. (With slower shutter speeds, moving objects may blur.) The 0-360 is designed to operate with a camera F-Stop of F8.0 or higher. This provides a high enough Depth of Field to allow the entire mirror to be in focus. With lower F-stops, the shutter speed can be increased, but the upper or lower portions (or both) of the mirror may not be entirely in focus. This means the image far above or far below the horizon may not be sharply focused. This may not be a problem, as many times the sky or the ground may not need to be sharply focused. With the Canon A650, you should be able to get a vFOV of over 110 degrees, with good focus across the entire image. For best results, shoot a well-lit scene! With high F-Stops, you need good lighting, or longer exposure times.
12) Press "Menu" button

Save Settings

(Now, you have stored all the settings in 'C'. While it is always a good idea to check the image preview on the LCD screen before you shoot, you should never have to adjust the settings again! To shoot virtual tours, set the Mode Dial to 'C', and take the shot. Very convenient!)
13) Press the shutter release to shoot. You have 10 seconds to hide!

Thank you for purchasing the 0-360 Panoramic Optic! With proper care and handling, the Optic should give you years of service. Here are a few important handling instructions: 1) Do not touch, handle, or polish the mirror! While the mirror does have a protective coating, touching or rubbing on its surface can cause scratches. Use the dust blower provided to remove dust before shooting. Use lens cleaning paper or lens cloth only if absolutely necessary, and rub gently. NEVER use a paper towel or other material to clean. 2) Avoid dropping or mishandling the unit, as it is a sensitive glass optical device. 3) Store the unit in its carrying case when not in use, in an upright position and in a cool, dry environment. 4) Use care in threading the Optic into your camera, avoiding cross-threading.
The 0-360 Panoramic Optic is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, exposure to the elements, or scratches to the mirror surface. If a defect in workmanship or material is discovered, 0-360.com will, at its option, repair or replace the Optic free of charge. Purchaser must first obtain a Return Authorization from 0-360.com, and return the unit properly packaged and freight prepaid. 0-360.com's liability is limited to repair or replacement of the Optic only. This warranty supersedes all other warranties, express or implied.
