The best product ever If you have a handycam and you want to do some really professional documentary or even movie, buy one of these. It does the job.

Good microphone for video professionals I needed a wireless mic for my camera and I was lucky that Sony has this mic for my Sony HDRSR11 Camera. Great sound, good range. This is a great little product from Sony. I use this mic and receiver with the XR500v camcorder and it works a treat.

Outstanding range and audio fidelity Range was much better than anticipated... as far as 579 feet! See video on YouTube (ECM-HW2 lilipuha). Great sound at a distance I have used this with a brand new Sony Handycam several times. It works great!

Sony's ECM-HW2 wireless microphone is the world's first interactive communication equipment for video cameras, with terminals on both microphone and receiver. You and the subject can talk back and forth, laugh, joke, sing, and share all the fun while filming and recording. With the Bluetooth wireless technology, ECM-HW2 picks up every word or note with sound clarity at distances up to 100 meters. By simply attaching the receiver to Sony Handycam's Active Interface Shoe, you can enjoy wireless microphone performance for truly versatile recording. The energy-saving ECM-HW2 matches the recording time of the previous model, but requires only half the battery capacity, successfully enabling smaller and lighter microphone design. ECM-HW2 doesn't get in the way of movement, and the wearer isn't conscious of the microphone, for natural, spontaneous behavior.
