| I have had my eyes on this phone for a long time. I did have an LGVX8300. It was a good phone...but honestly I like this one better. I have had this phone for five months and I love it. I love the dual keyboard flip version. It is great and easy to operate it. | |

| I am very happy with this battery! I now only need to charge the battery every 5-7 days instead of every 2-3 days. About half a day in stand by mode (not talking) I do not know if it is the 650mA rating (the original battery of this phone is 800ma). | |

Bluetooth Menu About Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology capable of exchanging information over a distance of about 30 feet without requiring a physical connection. Unlike infrared, you don't need to line up the devices to beam information with Bluetooth. If the devices are within a range of one another, you can exchange information between them, even if they are located in different rooms.
Note: When connected to your Bluetooth headset, press the headset send key to use VoiceSignals Voice Dial feature.
Bluetooth Service Profiles
Actually, the Bluetooth specification is a protocol that describes how the short-range wireless technology works, whereas individual profiles describe the services supported by individual devices. Profiles reduce the chance that different devices will not work together. Your phone supports the following profile service: HSP: Headset profile The HSP describes how a Bluetooth enabled headset should communicate with a computer or other Bluetooth enabled device such as a mobile phone. When connected and configured, the headset can act as the remote devices audio input and output interface. HFP: Hands-free profile* HFP describes how a gateway device can be used to place and receive calls for a hand-free device. A typical configuration is an automobile using a mobile phone for a gateway device. In the car, the stereo is used for the phone audio and a microphone is installed in the car for sending outgoing audio of the conversation. HFP is also used for a personal computer to act as a speakerphone for a mobile phone in a home or office environment. SPP: Serial Port profile SPP defines how to set-up virtual serial ports and connect two Bluetooth enabled devices.
DUN: Dial Up Networking DUN provides a standard to access the Internet and other dial-up services over Bluetooth wireless technology. The most common scenario is accessing the Internet from a laptop by dialing up on a mobile phone, wirelessly. OPP: Object Push Profile (vCard only)
* For vehicle/accessory compatibility, go to www.verizonwireless.com/bluetooth chart. Phone does not support all Bluetooth OBEX profiles.
The following Bluetooth options are available:
On/Off
When the Bluetooth radio is turned on, you can use the Bluetooth features available. When the Bluetooth radio is turned off, you cannot send or receive information via Bluetooth. Operating Environment
Remember to follow any special regulations in force in any area and always switch your phone off whenever it is forbidden to use it, or when it may cause interference or danger. When connecting the phone or any accessory to another device, read its user's guide for detailed safety instructions. Do not connect incompatible products. As with other mobile radio transmitting equipment, users are advised that for the satisfactory operation of the equipment and for the safety of personnel, it is recommended that the equipment should only be used in the normal operating position (held to your ear with the antenna pointing over your shoulder if you are using an external antenna).
Using Your Phone Near Other Electronic Devices
Most modern electronic equipment is shielded from radio frequency (RF) signals. However, certain electronic equipment may not be shielded against the RF signals from your wireless phone. Consult the manufacturer to discuss alternatives.
Pacemakers
Pacemaker manufacturers recommend that a minimum distance of 15 cm (6 inches) be maintained between a wireless phone and a pacemaker to avoid potential interference with the pacemaker. These recommendations are consistent with the independent research and recommendations of Wireless Technology Research.
Section 13: Health and Safety Information 144
Persons with pacemakers:
should always keep the phone more than 15 cm (6 inches) from their pacemaker when the phone is switched on. should not carry the phone in a breast pocket. should use the ear opposite the pacemaker to minimize potential interference. If you have any reason to suspect that interference is taking place, switch your phone off immediately.
Hearing Aids
FCC Notice and Cautions FCC Notice
The phone may cause TV or radio interference if used in close proximity to receiving equipment. The FCC can require you to stop using the phone if such interference cannot be eliminated. Vehicles using liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane) must comply with the National Fire Protection Standard (NFPA-58). For a copy of this standard, contact the National Fire Protection Association, One Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02269, Attn: Publication Sales Division.
Cautions
Any changes or modifications to your phone not expressly approved in this document could void your warranty for this equipment, and void your authority to operate this equipment. Only use approved batteries, antennas and chargers. The use of any unauthorized accessories may be dangerous and void the phone warranty if said accessories cause damage or a defect to the phone. Although your phone is quite sturdy, it is a complex piece of equipment and can be broken. Avoid dropping, hitting, bending or sitting on it.
Other Important Safety Information
Only qualified personnel should service the phone or install the phone in a vehicle. Faulty installation or service may be dangerous and may invalidate any warranty applicable to the device. Check regularly that all wireless phone equipment in your vehicle is mounted and operating properly. Do not store or carry flammable liquids, gases or explosive materials in the same compartment as the phone, its parts or accessories. For vehicles equipped with an air bag, remember that an air bag inflates with great force. Do not place objects, including both installed or portable wireless equipment in the area over the air bag or in the air bag deployment area. If wireless equipment is improperly installed and the air bag inflates, serious injury could result. Switch your phone off before boarding an aircraft. The use of wireless phone in aircraft is illegal and may be dangerous to the aircraft's operation. Failure to observe these instructions may lead to the suspension or denial of telephone services to the offender, or legal action, or both.
Product Performance Getting the Most Out of Your Signal Reception
The quality of each call you make or receive depends on the signal strength in your area. Your phone informs you of the current signal strength by displaying a number of bars next to the signal strength icon. The more bars displayed, the stronger the signal. If you're inside a building, being near a window may give you better reception.
Understanding the Power Save Feature
If your phone is unable to find a signal after 15 minutes of searching, a Power Save feature is automatically activated. If your phone is active, it periodically rechecks service availability or you can check it yourself by pressing any key. Anytime the Power Save feature is activated, a message displays on the screen. When a signal is found, your phone returns to idle mode.

Released for Verizon Wireless, the Samsung SCH-U740 offers form and function. Replacing the multi-device syndrome by ingeniously blending the best of a mobile phone, personal data assistant (PDA) and email messenger in one easy-to-use compact device, users can use the SCH-U740 two ways as it opens in portrait mode to take and make calls and switches to landscape mode to type messages.
