Features of anysee
anysee is a digital USB TV Box with High speed USB 2.0 Interface. It allows stable images on the screen even when it is recording. 1) anysee is a compact digital USB TV Box that can allow your Desktop or Laptop PC to receive Digital TV and Radio broadcast. 2) anysee does not need extra power supply. 3) anysee supports real-time or scheduled recording function and can capture still images. You can watch four to maximum nine channels on your screen. 4) anysee supports Teletext and Subtitle functions. 5) anysee provides EPG(Electronic Program Guide) and you can preset recording and manage the files to be recorded into. 6) You can hold the screen while watching TV and can continue to watch from the paused section after a while (Time-Shift function - Option). 7) You can zoom in to a part within the screen. 8) You can make your own list of favorite channels. 9) anysee is a portable and compact sized USB TV Box. 10) anysee website(http://www.anysee.com) provides up-to-date information and software download service. 11) anysee is compatible with European remote control unit (RC-5 Type) This is optional. 12) anysee has power supply management function. In the notebook pc, the main and graphic memory used to share together. In this case, the CPU possession ratio will be increased remarkably or the pictures will be broken off or a blazing fire may be caused by frame drop. These products employ self-lowering of CPU clock to avoid extreme usage of CPU in order to control internal heat generation. It may cause intermittent stops of screen or mismatch of lip-sync due to considerable decrease of CPU performance. DxVA Function anysee product is suitable to the graphic card supported to DxVA function. In case of the graphic card

without DxVA function, the CPU possession ratio will be increased or the pictures will be broken off may be caused by frame drop. About Power The computer has Power Control Mode. By choosing a power option, the system can be shifted to a powersaving mode when not in use or turned off at the time defined by system component setting. If the Power Control Mode has been activated, intermittent screen stops may appear in anysee products depending on the specifications of the PC.

Installation of anysee Software
Installation on Windows XP
Logon using ID: Administrator or other ID that carries the same authority as the administrator. To know more about User permission, please check your windows XP manual or guide. If you logon using an ID containing special characters, you may encounter problem. Please logon using an ID with English characters only. Place the Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive after connecting anysee to your PC with USB cable. And then, the installation main screen will appear

Click Install to start the software installation.
Please click the next button after selecting the language.

Windows XP Driver Installation
Please insert CD and plug USB 2.0 cable into your PC. If you plug USB 2.0 cable into your Desktop or Laptop PC , The Found New Hardware Wizard will appear.

Re-installing the Drivers ( new Driver Update )
Execute the driver installing file( \anysee\Driver\anyseeDrive_setup.exe ) which is located in the CD or can be downloaded from www.anysee.com.
Installation of another USB 2.0 port
When a USB 2.0 port has been connected to another port, A new hardware was detected message appears at the bottom right in Windows operation display line. If no such message appears, disconnect the USB 2.0 cable and reconnect it shortly afterward.
Move to "Windows XP Driver Installation" chapter and continue next installation. * A driver can be reinstalled either by driver update, uninstallation or use of another USB 2.0 port.

Checking the anysee Driver Installation
Right-click on My Computer icon and select Properties. When System Registration Information Window appears, select Device Manager in Hardware tab. * Click : [Properties] > [Hardware] tab > [Hardware Manager] > Sound, video and game controllers
If driver is not installed, please install it again. First, disconnect the USB 2.0 cable of anysee product and reconnect it again. When New Hardware Search Wizard Window appears, Move to "Windows XP Driver Installation" chapter and continue next step.

Checking the USB 2.0 Driver Installation
Right-click the My Computer icon and select Properties. When System Registration Information Window appears, select Device Manager in Hardware tab. * Check : [System Registration Information] [hardware] [Device Manager] USB Controller.
If the driver has not been installed, please check if the main board used supports USB 2.0.

HOW TO USE THE anysee APPLICATION
How to use the anysee Viewer
_______________________________________________________________________________ Please find out the software and the manual to be updated from anysee website (http://www.anysee.com). If you have any problem, first check the FAQ menu on anysee website (http://www.anysee.com). However, if you cannot find the solution there, please register your question using Technical Request. Customer Service staffs will then respond with the solution.
Start : Click anysee icon on your Windows desktop screen or click as following sequences; [Start] on the window bar Programs anysee anysee-E30Series. * when you start anysee, you can see quick configuration as below. Please refer to explanation on the "Video Setup" chapter.
Use [DxVA] : If your compter include DxVA function, you can check. Set Video Size : If you dont apply DxVA function, please select the video size as your CPU performance. If you have low CPU performance, you choose the half size and if you have high CPU performance select Full size. It works well after installation, the windows will not show. If it works abnormally, please remove the DxVA function. OK : start anysee view * After starting anysee viewer, you can see the message No channel, Scan channel first. Click the OK, it appear the configuration window and please select Channel scan then press Auto Scan. Exit : To finish the anysee program, press the Exit button on control panel or right click on screen window and select Exit on Menu.

Status Display
TV / Radio : Indicates TV or Radio broadcasting currently being played File / Live : Indicates playing of the saved file or live broadcasting. Channel Number : Shows the current channel number. Channel Name : Shows the current channel name. Current Time : Shows the current time. Mute : Indicates muted sound with change of color to red. Volume : Shows the current volume level. Signal Strength : Shows the strength of the current signal. Subtitle : Indicates On/Off of subtitles. Audio : Indicates audio language of the current channel. Play Once / Play Repeatedly : Indicates playing once or playing repeatedly. Multi Audio : Applied to multiple audio services.

The functions of Video Windows Controller are the same as the functions of Control Panel

anysee E30 Series support Digital TV/ File. You can change the mode as below.
Digital TV : Watch the digital TV(HDTV or SDTV) which input the digital signal from Antenna or Cable. File : Play is the recorded file on your hard disk.
Scan Channel
There are two methods of scanning the channels, automatic scan and manual scan. For automatic scan, perform the following sequence and for manual scan, move to menu 4.3.1.6) for signal reception. The performance of signal reception varies depending on the strength of connected Cable TV frequency. Reception is not possible if the signal reception rate is below 50-60% even if the strength of signals is over 80%. If the received signals are weak, please check Cable TV line. When anysee is turned on after the installation of anysee program, a message, There is no channel. Please scan channels first, appears. Click OK button and scan channel window appears.

Using the anysee E30 Series for receiving the digital signal, you can watch the digital TV at home. There are two methods of scanning the channels, automatic scan and manual scan. For automatic scan, perform the following sequence and for manual scan, move to menu for signal reception. The performance of signal reception varies depending of the antenna capacity and locations. Reception is not possible if the signal reception rate is below 50-60% even if the strength of signals is over 80%. If the received signals are weak, please check Cable connection or antenna.
When anysee is turned on after the installation of anysee program, a message, There is no channel. Please scan channels first, appears. Click OK button and scan channel window appears.
1) Select channel scan in configuration. 2) Set the input signal. AIR : Choose Air signal Cable : Choose Cable signal. Devices : Choose the proper device when multi anysee tuners are connected to the computer. Country : Select country or digital cable operator. 3) For manual scan, please input channel and frequency directly. The frequency for each channel is different in a different country.

4) Create New channel list : Make the new channel list after deleting the previously scanned
channel list.
Attenuation of Signal : Use it when the cable signal is strong (-12dB) 5) Quick Scan : Semi-automatically Scan and all of frequencies are scanned only in selected country. If the NIT information is found, the quick scan is much quicker. Additionally, LCN(Local Channel Number) is scanned then program number is fixed. As usual, we recommend to use the quick scan. Auto Scan : If you click Auto Scan, all channels are scanned automatically. If no reception has been made, check the settings of country and reception rate again. But the checking time is much slower than Quick scan. Stop : If you click Stop Scan, channel search will stop. Click Stop Scan when the reception of the wanted channel has been made to stop the scanning. Wait until Finish window appears. (Recommended) Manual Scan : Select the channel and bandwidth for manual scan. The frequency for each channel is different in a different country. Select a country first and then the channel. Then the frequency will automatically change. If the required channel was not found, Not Found window appears as shown below. 6) Edit Frequency : Correct and revise Frequency Table. The specific frequency information in selected frequency table can be revised and edited and The frequency table can be saved and loaded to the file. 7) Signal : Indicate received signal. Check Signal : The strength and quality of signals is shown. Strength : Indicate of receiving signal strength. Quality : Indicate of receiving signal quality. The signal reception rate varies depending of the antenna capacity and locations. Reception is possible when the signal reception rate is over 60-70%. If the received signals are weak, please check Cable TV line. 8) Show the scanned channel.
9) OK : Exit configuration.

Edit Channel / DIGITAL TV mode
You can edit channel list or create new list of favorites.
1) Select Edit Channel in configuration. If you receive the weak signal program, you can delete that in channel list. Please check the signal indicator under edit channel. 2) If you hope to create new list of favorites, please check the CH No. in Channel box. Favorite list is located in right side on the screen. Digital broadcasting system indicates "D" in channel list. 3) Selected channel show blue. UP : Selected channel is up DOWN : Selected channel is down(change sequence) DELETE : Selected channel is delete. If you receive same contents in different signal, you can delete the weak signal content in channel list. 4) Antenna : Select Channel list (OnAir, Cable, ALL).
1) Select Skins Setting. 2) TV Skin Setting : you can find the folder include TV skin files. 3) you can see the TV skin files. 4) Apply : If you choose the TV skin and press applies, selected skin apply to control panel. 5) You can see the selected skin. 6) Radio Skin setting : you can find the folder include Radio skin files. 7) You can see the Radio skin files. 8) Apply : If you choose the Radio skin and press apply, selected skin applies to TV window. 9) You can see the selected skin. 10) OK : Exit configuration.

Default Setting
You can use more efficiently on anysee option.
1) Select Default Setting. 2) choose the option. Use Remote Control : Click here to use Remote Control function. Remote control Sound On: Click here to turn on your Remote Control Sound. Your computer powers off by RCU "power" button (Please keep pressing it for 3 second) : tIf you press the power button for 3 second on remote controller, computer is finished. Expansion function of Sleep Timer (Windows PC shutdown) : Click here to allow the PC to shut down when the program is turned off by Sleep Timer. If the user has to be away or goes to sleep for certain period of time leaving anysee on, he can do so by setting the time for the termination of anysee program and turn-off time of PC. Use transparent Channel List : Click here to use transparent on List Window such as Favorite and Channel list. Overlay function do not exist (The sound comes out but the screen is not seen) : In case of making a sound and getting out of picture, please check this function. Not showing "Quick Configuration Window" (After you check DxVA function normally) : Click here to hide Quick Configuration Window when starting anysee E-series. Channel List Window, Disable to Favorite List: Click here to hide favorite list. Display channel information : If this option is disabled, the channel information will not be shown on the moniter while channels are changed. 3) Set Process priority : Click here to promote anysee process priority order. During operating other things, this function is to reduce the suspension of screen and sound. 4) Time Offset : Local Time offset function for adjusting national time difference. GMT is globally recognized standard time. 5) OK : Exit configuration.
Move to the first page. Move to the previous page. Move to the next page. Move to the last page. Add it to the favorite list. Delete it from the favorite list. Delete the favorite list. Sort. EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
anysee allows the user to view the TV program schedule in real time without having to consult other media (newspaper, magazine, etc). Also, the user can choose any desired time for reserved recording. You can view EPG (Electronic Program Guide) using EPG button in the Control Panel, Video window controller or Show Program Guide in the pop up menu.
1) You can view the selected channel, the current date and time. 2) You can select channel. Selected channel is registered other color. 3) The selected program information is shown here. 4) Show Program Guide. 5) Refresh : You can refresh EPG. Change Style : Select the displaying program guide. Recording Setup : Setup the reservation of recording.

Add Recording : You can add the selected channel to list of the reservation recording. OK : Exit Electronic Program Guide, return Screen. Click Recording Setup button to setup the reservation of recording. The user can select any station, reserve recording and view the program anytime later. The date and time are based on the registered date and time supported by Windows.
1) Select channel for recording. 2) Select date and channel for recording. 3) Select date and channel for end of recording. 4) Check record for starting of recording setup. If you could not check "Record", it wont start record on time. 5) Select anysee viewer close or PC shutdown after finishing recording. 6) Select "Run only once", "Run daily", "Run weekday", "Run weekend". 7) If you press "Setup" button, you can reserve recording setup. 8) You show the reservation of recording setup. 9) Modify : If you hope to revise the reservation of recording setup, click modify and change the recording setup. 10) Close : Exit recording setup. 11) Delete : Delete reservation of recording setup.

Time shift works in Digital TV mode. button: Stops playing or recording button: Pauses playing.

Yellow button: Moves to the yellow colored page in the Teletext screen. Blue button: Moves to the blue colored page in the Teletext screen.
The above remote controlling is possible in Live mode. Some of the remove control functions are disabled.

Pixel Resolution Pixel resolution is classified by resolution as follows. - VGA: 640 x 480 - SVGA: 800 x 600 - XGA: 1024 x 768 - SXGA: 1280 x 1024 - SXGA-Wide: 1600 x 1024 - UXGA: 1600 x 1200 - HDTV: 1920 x 1080 - UXGA-Wide: 1920 x 1200 - QXGA: 2056 x 1536 HDTV HDTV (High Definition Television) offers clearer pictures (higher resolution) than ordinary TV. It usually is wider than present NTSC and offers twice as higher resolution. In order to transmit high resolution picture through present TV bandwidth, a picture is digitized, compressed and signalized before transmission and when it reaches each home, its data is decompressed and separated before displaying on the monitor. DxVA DxVA (Direct X Video Acceleration) is hardware-wise processing of some of the functions necessary for MPEG decoding and encoding such as Hardware Motion Compensation iDCT DCT and color space conversion, etc.
