Digital camera nearly five years development speed can be used "fast" to describe, is not only the performance. Canon G10 style with the overall appearance of G7, G9 little difference, to get the first hand feel relatively large volume. Sensitivity range of ISO 80-1600. Canon G10 lens area has a wide-angle 28-140mm zoom lens, maximum aperture of F2.8-4.5, in large scenes.

I had a previous G9, and I can tell you, this...  Solid camera with good image quality producing RAW/JPEG images. The camera is well built.

This is my first Digital camera. I have been shooting a Canon A1 for over 28 yrs. I have owned a Canon Xti with good quality lenses, such as 17-55 F/2.8 (about $950 alone) and others.

i guess the other pro is that it didnt fry anything when it failed when is this item going to be available... the g10 is a great camera. i also have the g5, and did a lot of research before buying the g10. i almost got the powershot 990is. Overall, I was slightly disappointed with the image quality of the G10 for the amount of money I put into it.

Best Point and shoot camera. I got it at 400$. I have taken over 5000 pics so far. This is the best camera you can taken. Very Sharp Macro - best compact macro I can find - better macro than S90. Outdoor shots outperform other compacts.

I bought the G10 as soon as it became available in my part of the world. I had been experimenting with many high-end P&S cameras for months.

Digital Camera for Professionals
How high can resolution and continuous shooting speed go? EOS -1D Mark II has the answer.
The reborn EOS-1D achieves 8.2 effective megapixel resolution even at a continuous shooting speed of 8.5 frames per second. This extraordinary feat is more than evolution, its a revolution in digital camera performance. Versatility, operational ease and all aspects of camera design have been meticulously refined to give professionals a genuine edge at decisive moments.
Higher performance and convenience borne of advanced technology and responsiveness to the requests of professionals.
Large CMOS Sensor (approx. 8.2 million effective pixels)
Canons new CMOS sensor with high-speed 8-channel reading technology delivers exceptional image quality with low noise and an extremely high S/N ratio. Its large 28.7 x 19.1mm size realizes an effective angle of view thats just 1.3 times the focal length indicated on Canon EF lenses.

Compatible with DDR-SDRAM, Canons newly developed, state-of-the-art DIGIC II Imaging Processor achieves continuous shooting of 8.2 megapixel images at 8.5 fps and employs original Canon algorithms to accurately convert signals into crisp, high-resolution images with natural color and rich gradation.

White Balance Settings

8.5 fps continuous shooting with up to 40 images per burst
The EOS-1D Mark II is the world's fastest Digital AF-SLR camera (as of February 2004). Its record-breaking 8.5 fps speed is achieved even at full resolution (3,504 x 2,336 pixels), and is maintained during max. bursts of 40 shots in JPEG mode (20 shots in RAW or RAW+JPEG mode).

E-TTL II Autoflash

Canons new Evaluative Through-The-Lens (E-TTL) Autoflash system offers evaluative metering as well as new averaged metering, which employs a new recording algorithm to achieve more stable control and help prevent underexposure and overexposure even when the subject changes location.
High reliability and rigidity
The highly reliable EOS -1D Mark II features rigid magnesium alloy in the chassis and external covers that also contributes to electromagnetic shielding, a durable finish and extremely low body weight. At 200,000 shutter cycles, shutter durability is 30% higher than in the EOS -1D and EOS -1Ds.

Software and accessories

Improved software features, which include EOS Viewer Utility for faster image preview, and Digital Photo Professional for high-speed processing, offer easier operability and handling of RAW images. With the inclusion of such accessories and a variety of EF lenses, Canon delivers total digital imaging solutions.
