Autoconnect USB cameras are recognized by Windows 2000, ME, and XP as a separate drive, which is listed as a "Removable Disk Drive". It is also assigned it's own unique drive letter in addition to your C drive and any other drive you may have. Because it is a separate drive, the Camedia Software is not necessary to download images.
