8 Using the SD (Secure Digital) Card
Using the SD Card
Your camera comes with built-in flash memory for storing pictures and video clips. You can expand the memory using a commercially available SD card (up to 1 GB). The camera senses whether a memory card is inserted, and automatically saves pictures and video clips accordingly. Note that you cannot save pictures or video clips to the built-in flash memory while a memory card is installed in the camera. See pages 100 to 101 for storage capacities. Memory card precautions: 1. Use only a SD memory card with this camera. 2. An electrostatic charge, electrical noise, and other phenomena can cause data corruption or even loss. Always make sure that you always back up important data on other media (MO disc, computer hard drive, etc.). 3. If a memory card starts to behave abnormally, you can restore normal operation by formatting it. However, we recommend that you always take along with more than one memory card whenever using the camera far away from your home or office. 4. We recommend that you format a memory card when using it for the first time, or whenever the card you are using seems to be the cause of abnormal pictures. Remember to format a memory card if it was used in another digital camera or other devices.
IMPORTANT! Make sure you turn off the camera before inserting or removing a memory card. Be sure to orient the card correctly when inserting it. Never try to force a memory card into the slot when you feel resistance. SD memory cards have a write protection switch that you can use to protect files from accidental deletion. However, you must remove the write protection whenever you want to record new files onto it, format it, or delete its files. Files contained in the SD card recorded by other cameras may conflict with the i832 camera, and valuable data in your existing SD card may be distorted or lost when the card is inserted in the i832 camera. We strongly recommend the user to use a NEW or formatted SD card for the i832 camera. The manufacturer is not liable for losing or corrupting any valuable data or files in your SD card due to improper operation. As tests prove, the i832 works best with popular brands of memory cards.
Inserting a SD card 1. Turn off the camera. 2. Open the SD card door by pushing it outwards as illustrated. 3. Insert the SD card and ensure the card is inserted the correct position as illustrated. 4. Close the SD card door by pressing it downwards and then slide it back to lock.
The icon will appear on the LCD screen when a SD card is inserted into the camera.
Removing the SD card To remove the SD card, turn off your camera and open the SD card door. Gently push the SD card inwards and then release it. The SD card will eject out of the SD card slot.
IMPORTANT! Never insert any other object into the cameras SD card slot. Doing so creates the risk of damage to the camera and card. Should water or any foreign objects ever get into the card slot, immediately turn off the camera, remove the battery or disconnect the AC adapter, and contact your dealer or the nearest service provider. Never remove a card from the camera while the camera is powered on. Doing so can cause the picture or video recording operation to fail, and even damage the memory card.

Activities Conducted: FT gained access to the site and collected the remaining land sample at DU8, using a 10x10 m grid with 30 increments. FT then conducted QR in the southeastern portion of the site. Two.50 cal bullets were found within the boundaries of the Rifle Range MRS. No other evidence of MD, MEC, targets, craters, distressed vegetation from military use, or other indicators of munitions use or disposal were observed. FT could not reach DU4 and DU5 since an agreement with the tenant living on that parcel was pending, but access should be possible tomorrow. Location of DU6 in the alleged Demolition Area was in a flooded field, so FT will have to return to that site with a different approach strategy. FT then returned to the lodging to download GPS data and complete paperwork. Work Planned: SI field team will conduct QR and collect samples in the eastern portion of the site. Activities Conducted: SVT gained access to the site and drove toward the east portion of the site, as far as the muddy conditions would allow. SVT then conducted QR in the eastern and northeastern portion of the site. No evidence of MD, MEC, targets, craters, distressed vegetation from military use, or other indicators of munitions use or disposal were observed. FT collected a sample at DU7 in a grid measuring approximately 150x150 ft with 50 increments, and at DU2 in a grid measuring approximately 300x75 ft with 50 increments; the size and location of the DUs had to be adjusted to negotiate the vegetation and terrain: very dense woods and extremely swampy conditions. SVT drove to the southeastern corner of the site to assess the status of groundwater The SVT discovered that the well is located inside the yard of a company handling explosive material for seismic exploration; after deliberation between the SVT and Julie Burdie, it was decided to sample the groundwater from that well nonetheless and assess the results accordingly. SVT subsequently drove to Hammond to retrieve the signed ROE from Mr. Anderson (985.345.1880 ) granting access to the parcel of land containing DU4 and DU5. Activities Conducted: SVT met Mr. Wilde (985-969-0336), tenant on the westernmost portion of the site, who showed the team the location of groundwater well GW02. Mr. Wilde related to the SVT how a dynamite handling facility was located on site until approximately 30 years ago. SVT proceeded to collect DU4, DU5, and GW02. Subsequently the SVT drove to the Austin Powder facility (current explosives distributor), where GW01 is located, and collected the groundwater sample. FT then gained access to the main portion of the site and collected DU6 near the location where one.50 cal bullet was found on Monday. SVT then conducted QR in the northeastern portion of the site and collectd DU3. No evidence of MD, MEC, targets, craters, distressed vegetation from military use, or other indicators of munitions use or disposal were observed. The size and location of the DUs had to be adjusted to negotiate the vegetation and terrain: very dense woods and extremely swampy conditions. SVT then returned to the lodging to download GPS data and complete paperwork. All water samples for the perchlorate analysis were filtered on-site according to DoD Perchlorate Handbook.
