Realistic acoustic piano tone and touch
The HP-237 is nothing less than a fine concert grand. Its main acoustic piano tone is testimony to Roland's renown as the world's leader in stereo sampling technology. It's so rich. So full. And dynamic. And with its 64-note polyphony the maximum number of notes that can be sounded simultaneously even the most complex sustaining passages will be produced exactly as you play them.
Then there's the touch! The 88-note keyboard features Roland's unique hammer-action mechanism acclaimed by the world's top pianists as the finest there is. This means it can accurately convey every expression and subtle nuance of your performance.

Versatile performance and practice options
Versatile in every way, the HP-237 features a Dual mode for blending two different instrument tones together, plus a Split mode for playing a combination-instrument performance such as Acoustic Bass with the left hand and Acoustic Piano with the right. Optimum combinations are preset and quick and easy to select. The HP-237 even has metronome and recording functions for improving your timing and performance skills.
Extra sounds plus effects even sympathetic resonance
The HP-237 also includes additional instrument tones to expand its effective musical range. You can add effects, too. Reverb lets you control "room ambiance" and chorus lets you enhance the sonic dimension of each tone to suit your taste or room. A special sympathetic resonance effect uses Roland's latest Digital Signal Processing technology that lets the HP-237 recreate the overtones of open strings vibrating in sympathy with each other which is what happens naturally on an acoustic piano when you hold down the damper pedal.
A finely crafted piece of furniture
All of this is incorporated in a durable, high quality cabinet that will maintain its beautiful simulated rosewood finish for years and years. Its dark brown grain will blend naturally with any decor.

Advanced tuning features

The HP-237 is meticulously tuned at the factory by some of the best piano tuners in the world. What's more, the tuning is engineered to work in total harmony with the keyboard, cabinet, sound source and amplification system to respond with subtle fluctuations just like an acoustic piano. A stretched tuning function lets you specify the amount of fluctuations, and a selection of classical temperaments is available to perform Baroque ensembles.
