Cautions on Handling
Pay attention to the following before using this unit: Moving the unit To prevent short-circuits or damaged wires in the connection cables. always unplug the power supply cord and disconnect the connection cables between all other audio components when moving the unit. Cautions on using mobile phones Using a mobile phone near this unit may result in noise. If so. move the mobile phone away from this unit when using it.
Do not use any AC adapter other than the specified one.

Fixing screw holes

Use the fixing screw holes (two) to fix the control dock by screw. (Usable screws: M3, max. 4 mm in length)
When the ASD-11R is connected to a DENON AV device equipped with a dock control tenninal, various iPod playback operations can be performed from the connected AV device.

OAbout the adapter

Use the adapter included with the iPod. No adapter is included with the iPods listed below. When using one of these iPods, use the adapter included with the ASD-ll R.
Do not plug the AC adapter into a power outlet until all connections are completed. Also be sure to read the operating instructions of the AV device being connected.

Connector

The ASD-l1 R does not support iPod shuffle. Be sure to remove the case when mounting an iPod. Failure to do so can result in faulty connection, in which case the iPod cannot be operated or played. Use an adapter suited for your iPod. Using the wrong adapter could damage the connectors on both sides.

o Removing the iPod

Set the power of the connected AV device to off or standby before removing the iPod.
When plugging in or unplugging the iPod, please proceed carefully, adjusting the inclination of the connector so as not to place a burden upon the connector.

Connect the AC adaptor to a readily accessible power outlet. If a problem should arise, unplug the AC adaptor immediately. Do not use any AC adapter other than the included one. Be sure to unplug the AC adaptor from the power outlet when connecting and disconnecting to the plug to the power input terminal.
DAbout the ASD-11R's power operation
Audio signal Output Input Video signal Output Input There is no power switch on the ASD-11 R. The power turns on when the AC adapter is connected to the ASD-11 Rand power outlet. When playing an iPod, power is supplied to the iPod. Power for charging is supplied when the iPod is stopped. A standby power (1 W) is consumed when no iPod is connected. Unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet when leaving home or not using for an extended period of time.

Troubleshooting
If a problem should arise, first check the following: 1. Are the connections correct? 2. Is the set being operated as described in the owner's manual? 3. Are the other components operating property? If this unit does not operate properly, check the items listed in the table below. Should the problem persist, there may be a malfunction. In this case, disconnect the power immediately and contact your store of purchase.
No sound is produced. No image appears on the monitor.

Length of Non-Transferable Warranty This warranty on your DENON product which is distributed and warranted by DENON ELECTRONICS (USA), LLC remains in effect for the following periods from the date of the original consumer purchase from an AUTHORIZED DENON ELECTRONICS (USA), LLC DEALER.

What is Covered Except as specified below, this Warranty covers all defects in material and workmanship in this product occurring during the above warranty periods. The following are not covered by the Warranty: (I) Any product which is not distributed in the U.S.A. by DENON ELECTRONICS (USA), LLC. (2) Any product which is not purchased in the U.S.A. from an authorized DENON dealer, unless the product is purchased through the U.S.A. Military Exchange Service where the Warranty will be One (I) year for all products listed above except in the case of Cartridges, Accessories and Remote Controller which will remain at 90 days. (Note: AUTHORIZED DENON DEALERS can be identified by DENON AUTHORIZED DEALER sticker displayed in the stores. If you are uncertain as to whether a dealer is a DENON AUTHORIZED DEALER, please contact DENON as listed below). (3) Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed. (4) Damaged deterioration or malfunction resulting from: a) Accident, act of nature, abuse, misuse, neglect, unauthorized product repair, opening of or modification or failure to follow instructions suppljed with the product. b) Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by DENON. c) Any shipment of the product (claim must be presented to carrier). (5) Items subject to wear from normal usage (tape heads, cartridges, stylus, battery, etc.). (6) Periodic check-ups which do not disclose any defect. (7) Use of the product outside the U.S.A. (8) Damaged magnetic tape or CDIDVD discs. (9) Use in industrial, commercial, and/or professional applications. (10) Any installation or removal charges resulting from product failure. What We Will Pay For If during the applicable warranty period from the date of original consumer purchase your DENON product is found to be defective by DENON, DENON will repair, or at its option, replace with new, used or equivalent model, such defective product without charge for parts or labor. How to Obtain Warranty Performance If your unit ever needs service, it may be taken or shipped to any authorized DENON service station or DENON ELECTRONICS (if you are uncertain as to whether a service station is DENON authorized, please contact DENON as listed below.) In all other cases, the following procedures apply whenever your unit must be transported for warranty service; a. You are responsible for transporting your unit or arranging for its transportation. b. If shipment of your unit is required; You must pay the initial shipping charges, but we wiU pay the return shipping charges if the repairs are covered by the Warranty. c. WHEN RETURNING YOUR UNIT FOR WARRANTY SERVICE, A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL SALES SLIP MUST BE ATTACHED. d. You should include the following: your name, address, daytime telephone number, model and serial number of the product and a description of the problem. In the case of a CD or DVD Player. please enclose ONE (I) disc that the unit has failed with for test reasons. It will be returned with the unit. THIS WARRANTY IS VALID IN THE U.S.A. ONLY. If your product does not require service, but you have questions regarding its operation, please contact our Teclutical Services Department as listed below. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND ATNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AT OUR OPTION, OF ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND SHALL IN NO EVENT INCLUDE INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL COMMERCIAL OR PROPERTY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PRODUCTS LOST, STOLEN AND/OR DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS AND/OR DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. TIlls warranty gives you specific legal rights, but you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This Warranty may not be altered other than in a writing signed by an officer of Denon Electronics USA, LLC.
