| I bought my Nokia N73(Music Edition)three years ago and until now it surprises me with its cool features. My Nokia N73 is more than a year old and a lot of things have gone wrong. First, the outside has numerous scratches. That was my fault. | |

| Good entry-level smartphone I came to the N73 looking to flee the crashy performance of my T-Mobile Dash, and it answered all my hopes and dreams. Great overall phone I bought this phone over the Nokia N82. If I had $$$ to spare I would have bought the N82. | |

Get started
With the Nokia Music Pack, you can listen to the music player of your compatible mobile phone through stereo headphones or a home stereo system. The Nokia Music Pack includes a USB card reader and memory card that allow you to copy music files from a compatible PC to your mobile phone. If your phone does not have a compatible music player, you can install the Music application from the memory card as instructed in the user guide of your phone. To use the Nokia Music Pack, you need a compatible Nokia phone that has a memory card slot and a Pop-Port connector that supports stereo audio output. Keep all accessories and enhancements out of the reach of small children.
USB MMC/SD card reader
The USB MMC/SD card reader is compliant with the USB specification version 2.0 and the USB Device Class Definition for Mass Storage, Bulk-Transport, version 1.0. The card reader can be used with the following operating systems: Windows XP/ 2000/ME/98(SE), Mac OS 10.0 or later, and Linux 2.4. If you have Windows 98 or 98 SE, install a driver that you can download from the Nokia Web site at www.nokia.com. To install the driver, run setup.exe, follow the displayed instructions. The driver is included in other operating systems than Windows 98 and 98 SE and does not need to be installed separately. To use the card reader, turn on your computer, and plug the card reader into a compatible USB port of your PC. The card reader appears as a removable disk in the operating system. The card reader supports the following memory cards: MultimediaCard (MMC), Reduced-Size MultiMediaCard)
(RS-MMC), Secure Digital (SD), and miniSD (when used with an adapter). Use only compatible memory cards with this device. Other memory cards do not fit in the memory card slot and are not compatible with this device. Using an incompatible memory card may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the incompatible card may be corrupted. The card reader has an indicator light. When the light is shown continuously, the card reader is ready for use. When the
light flashes, the PC is writing or reading files on the memory card. Important: Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation when the card is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the card may be corrupted.
Set up and use
1. If your phone does not have a music player that supports MP3 or AAC audio files, insert the memory card into the memory card slot of the compatible phone, and install the Music application from the memory card to the phone. For details, see the user guide of your phone. 2. Remove the memory card from your phone. 3. Insert the memory card into the slot of the USB card reader so that the golden contacts fae down and the bevelled corner of the card points to the right. Carefully push the card into the slot. 4. Plug the other end of the card reader into a compatible USB port of your PC so that the indicator light is on the right. 5. Create music files from your CDs using the Nokia PC Suite software or the Windows Media Player application.
6. Copy the music files to the memory card using the file manager of your operating system. Remember to make back-up copies of all important data. 7. Remove the memory card from the card reader, and insert it into your phone as instructed in its user guide. 8. Plug the Pop-Port connector of the Nokia Audio Adapter into the Pop-Port socket of your phone so that the Nokia text printed on the connector faces up. 9. To use your headphones for listening, plug the 3.5 mm connector of the headphones into the socket of the audio adapter. The audio adapter supports the use of 16 ohm or higher impedance headphones. To use your compatible stereo system for listening, plug the 3.5 mm connector of the stereo audio cable
into the socket of the audio adapter, and attach the two RCA connectors of the audio cable to the left and right channel audio outputs of your stereo system. 10. Start the music player application in your phone, and play the music files from the memory card as instructed in the user guide of your phone. If you want to use the Music application supplied on the memory card, see Music application. As the Nokia Audio Adapter does not contain a microphone, unplug the adapter to make or receive a phone call. Warning: Listen to music at a moderate level. Continuous exposure to high volume may damage your hearing.
Music application
To play music files, start the Music application. Open the All songs, Artists, Albums, Recently added, or Playlists view, and select a song. The phone plays the selected song and the others in the current view. To use other features of the Music application, see its help function.
