If your modem is not available on this list, and you would like us to check the possibility to support it, please email us your request with as much information as possible to: getintouch@smc.com Please follow the instructions below to provide us the system log file with all relevant information: 1. Connect the 3G modem to the USB port of SMCWBR14-3GN 2. Login to the web-interface of SMCWBR14-3GN 3. Go to "Services" and select "System Log Setting" 4. After enabling the system log, you will see "Storage Type", "Log Level" and "Total Log Size" 5. Please set them to "RAM", "7 Debug" and the "20" Kbytes information and save the settings 6. Configure the relevant information for the USB modem connection so that it can dial out 7. Save the settings 8. The SMCWBR14-3GN will automatically try to connect to the 3G mobile broadband provider 9. Since the 3G connection will fail, please go to the "Information" page and select the "System Log" 10. Copy the whole content of the system log, save it as a text file and send it to the email address above Important: Please don't expect overnight solutions: any firmware has to be tested, even if it's beta release. If your modem can be supported, we will try to add it with one of the next firmware releases. But please understand that we cannot promise to add support for every modem.
