Laser Copying
All the performance you could want from a desktop copier but with the added bonus of two more essential office functions: printing and colour scanning. Its flatbed design accommodates full size A4 and Legal originals, and you dont have to stand over the machine slavishly changing page after page of your original, thanks to its Automatic Document Feeder that can handle up to 50 sheets of A4. Similarly, you wont have to stand around feeding it sheets of copy paper it has a standard paper capacity of 250 A4 sheets, which can be expanded up to 500 sheets with the addition of the optional lower cassette tray. Up to 99 copies can be produced at one time, and stack and sort functions make sure that theres no longer the need to rearrange or hand-collate documents after copying. You can also be sure that youre going to get more of what youre copying because, unlike many competitor machines, your Brother machine will copy up to approx 2mm of the left and right edges, and up to approx 3mm of the top and bottom edges. And to complete its impressive performance, the 2 in 1 and 4 in 1 scale function and poster print options enable you to maximise your paper efficiency.

Laser Printing

In terms of quality, speed, memory and connectivity, youll find you have the equal to a specialised, stand-alone laser printer. The print quality is truly impressive, with a resolution of up to 2400 by 600 dots per inch, so every sheet is crisp and clear. The speed is fast up to 16 pages per minute, so you wont be waiting around for your document print-outs. Theres a generous 32MB of memory as standard, so it can more than cope with office demands and should those demands increase, there is the option to expand the memory up to as much as 160MB. With PCL6 and BR-Script 3 (PostScript 3 language) emulations installed and with the choice of parallel, USB 2.0 and optional network connectivity, connecting to machines operating the most popular PC operating systems presents no problem at all. And with Secure print for Windows also installed, all your confidential documents will stay that way.
Network Connectivity as standard
Thanks to our NC-9100h Network Interface, connecting your machine to a network couldnt be simpler and this connectivity comes as standard with the DCP-8025DN and is available as an option with both the DCP-8020 and DCP-8025D. The NC-9100h is specifically designed to make implementation into the majority of networks effortless, as it supports industry standard speed (10/100Base TX) and protocols (TCP/IP/IPX/SPX/AppleTalk).

When you combine up to 17ppm printing speed, HQ1200 resolution (2400 x 600 dpi), and a robust 32MB standard memory (expandable to 160MB), you can easily see what we mean. Both models come standard with high speed USB 2.0 and parallel interfaces (cables not included). In addition they support PCL6 for DOS printing and BR-Script3 (PostScript Level 3) emulations.
