| This is a good machine for small office use, I would definitely recommanded. Text quality are excellent, reasonable price. I wish we would have bought the model up with the fax feature, and it would have been a complete multifunction. But we are very happy with it. | |

| Should have had Fax capability. MFC series has it and if Fax is a must MFC 6460N network model has it. Wish they start including drives for Linux. Have now had this for about a year and it is very reliable. Have put a ; new cartridge in it. We use this a lot every day. | |

Purpose
To better understand the functionalities of the Brother DCP 8060 Laser Printer, Copier, and Scanner. Remember that only one computer (HS123T01) is currently configured to use the Brother DCP 8060.

Scan to Image scans document into an image editing application 3. Scan to OCP scans document and converts it to editable text to be used with word processing software like Microsoft Word 2007 4. Brother DCP 8060: Laser Printer, Scanner, & Copier
Installing the Scanner: You will need to complete two installation steps prior to being able to use the scanner and the offline test features (plain-paper testing) of the Houghton Mifflin Online Assessment System:
1. Use the installation CD that comes with the scanner to load the scanner drivers onto the PC. a. Follow the instructions that are included with the CD. b. After completing this step, you will be able to use the Brother DCP 8060 as a stand-alone piece of equipment. However, without completing the second installation step, the Houghton Mifflin Online Assessment System will not allow any functionality for the offline test features.
Note: The scanner must be connected to a PC (not a Mac) that is also connected to the Internet.
2. Download and install the scanning software from the Houghton Mifflin Online Assessment System website. a. In order to access the download, you will need to have activated the license and claimed the product from an active, shipped order. b. Once the Administrator has registered as a User, they will be able to access the scanning software download from a link on their Houghton Mifflin Online Assessment System homepage. c. Follow the directions provided in the online help documentation in order to install the scanning software.
Note: Both of these steps should only take a minimal amount of time to complete.
