The CanoScan LiDE 20 USB Flatbed Scanner is one of the worlds most compact flatbedsyet offers big performance and big savings. Just over an inch high, it packs in all the features you need to scan images, copy documents or e-mail your favorite photos. All with true one-touch operation. The LiDE 20 scanner is so intuitive and easy to use, first-time users can get expert results in remarkable color resolution up to 600 x 1200 dpi and up to 48-bit depth with over 281 trillion possible colors. To scan, just place the photo on the platen and push the scan buttonthats it. Copy and e-mail functions are just as simple. Scan multiple photos at once with the push of a button. Multi-Scan mode is automatically activated and scans all the pictures in a single pass, preparing a separate image file for each. It will even adjust any slightly miss-aligned photos. Scanning multi-pages into a PDF file is just as easy. Innovative software even allows you to save your photo memories to CDs as easily as scan, click and burn*.

Canon innovations.

The LiDE 20 scanner is small but can tackle the big jobs. The exclusive Z-Lid expansion top lifts 1" high and stays flat for scanning books and magazines. Most other scanner covers lift only at an anglenot lying flat for thick items, often resulting in poor scans. Canon integrated QARE 2.0 (Quality Automatic Retouching and Enhancement) technology is designed to help perfect every scan by automatically removing much of the dirt and scratches from images, helping you to look like a pro.

EZ BUTTONS EASY! The CanoScan LiDE 20 is equipped with three EZ Buttons which you can configure to perform the functions you use most. One button can automate the entire scanning process, whether to scan images, copy them or send them to your e-mail program. What could be easier? USB CONNECTION The CanoScan LiDE 20 requires no power plug you only have to connect the USB cable and youre ready to go. The USB interface also means its compatible with PC and Macintosh. SMALL FOOTPRINT FAST MULTI-PHOTO MODE Place ten photos on the glass plate, scan them and what do you get? With any standard scanner, a 'picture' of ten pictures. But, with Canon's fast Multi-photo mode, you get ten separate images which you can work on. And if images are skewed, they will be straightened automatically and can be sent direct as email attachments or to a printer for unsurpassed productivity.

SCAN TO PDF Create PDF (Portable Document Format) files from multi-page documents a handy feature for business use. After scanning each page, the computer asks you if you wish to continue. Z-LID Canons ingenious scanner lid lets you scan books and magazines as easily as single sheets of paper, exerting equal pressure across the full surface.
The CanoScan LiDE 20s special stand lets you keep it upright on your desktop, so it takes up less space. POWERFUL SOFTWARE Standard with the LiDE 20, you get Arcsoft PhotoStudio for image editing, PhotoBase for image management, Omni-page SE OCR, and the Canon Toolbox for easy operation.
