The i950 Photo Printer features the Canon Think Tank System with its six individual ink tanks coupled with an intelligent ink management system. Replace only the color that runs out rather than the entire cartridgea real advantage when printing high-intensity color photos. The i950 Photo Printer supports the worldwide standard Exif 2.2 (Exchangeable Image Format File), so that when an Exif-compliant camera captures a photo, important camera settings and shooting conditions are saved in the JPEG image file. Canon exclusive Easy-PhotoPrint*** software analyzes the recorded data and then automatically adjusts printer driver settings for optimum image processing. Easy Setup Instructions

printer and connect the other end to a power outlet.
NOTE: Do not touch the electrical contacts.
NOTE: To avoid spilling ink, never press on the sides of an ink tank.
3 Insert the ink tank into the correct slot.
(Refer to the color guide on the print head holder.)

7 Align the Print Head

Before using the printer, align the print head to ensure the best quality printing.
1 Load a stack of paper to the sheet feeder. 2 Start the alignment procedure.
Under Printers menu, select Configure Printer. Select i950, and click Select.
4 Compare the different patterns for each color on
the printout and enter the number in the Print Head Alignment window that corresponds with the smoothest looking pattern.
Windows: a. For Windows XP, select Start,
then Control Panel. Then click on Printers and Other Hardware, then Printers and Faxes. NOTE: For other Windows versions, click Start, then Settings, then Printers.
b. Right-click the Canon i950 icon, then click Properties. c. Click the Maintenance tab, then click the Print Head Alignment icon.
Macintosh: a. For Mac OS X: Double-click the Macintosh HD icon, then Applications folder. Double-click the Utilities folder, then the Print Center icon. The Printer List window appears.
NOTE: For Mac OS 8.69.x: From the File menu in a software application, click Page Setup, then click the Utilities button.
