THE POWER BEHIND DESKTOP PRODUCTIVITY
CANON imageRUNNER LBP ENGINE INNOVATIONS ON THE DESKTOP The Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series delivers the desktop productivity and advanced technology users demand in three exceptionally compact models. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960/5360 models utilize robust four-drum engine technology and the Color RAPID Fusing System to produce beautiful high-speed color and monochrome documents. The Canon imageRUNNER LBP3460 model uses the RAPID Fusing System to quickly output crisp black-and-white documents. These imaging innovations provide shorter warm-up and first printout times while emitting less heat and reducing energy consumption. REMARKABLE IMAGE QUALITY The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 device utilizes an innovative compact 4-in-1 laser beam unit to achieve true 1200-dpi output in Super Fine Mode for enhanced image clarity and gradients, or Fine Mode for precise graphics at 600 dpi. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 and imageRUNNER LBP3460 models both deliver crisp output at up to 600 dpi, equivalent in appearance to 2400 x 600 dpi.
IMPRESSIVE PAPER HANDLING All models in the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series feature autoduplexing capabilities to produce double-sided documents with nonstop productivity. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 device can hold up to 230 sheets of paper (standard) in the front-loading cassette and 90 sheets in the multi-purpose tray. Paper sizes up to 11" x 17" can be accommodated. Increased capacity is available by adding up to three optional cassettes. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 device has a standard 250-sheet capacity and a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray for sizes up to legal and the option to install an additional cassette. The imageRUNNER LBP3460 model comes standard with a 250-sheet capacity and 100-sheet multi-purpose tray for sizes up to legal. An optional cassette can also be installed.

imageRUNNER PRODUCTIVITY ON THE DESKTOP
AN ENGINE DESIGNED FOR PRODUCTIVITY The new Color imageRUNNER LBP Series is powered by the same high-performance system architecture developed for Canons advanced imageRUNNER line. This evolutionary technology applied to desktop laser beam printers delivers extraordinary productivity, robust functionality, and enhanced processing capacity for color and monochrome documents. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 device achieves dramatic output speeds with its revolutionary short vertical paper path design, which results in significantly reduced first-printout times. Using the new Accelerated Paper Feeding Method, the Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 model delivers no loss in productivity when producing double-sided documents. OPTIMIZED DOCUMENT PROCESSING All three models in the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series include the UFR II Print Controller, which is optimized to produce highspeed color and monochrome documents. It automatically distributes data processing between the print driver on the users desktop computer and the imageRUNNER LBP device. When users print a document, the intelligent driver architecture determines the optimal balance of processing between the desktop computer and the imageRUNNER LBP device by analyzing the layout and graphic components of each page. This unique approach maintains exceptionally high print performance on even complex documents that include images, graphics, and text.

CONSISTENT imageRUNNER PRINT DRIVER ARCHITECTURE Canon has designed a consistent print driver that spans the entire imageRUNNER line to simplify and standardize the task of producing documents for users. The drivers are compatible with Windows and Macintosh environments and provide support for UFR II and PCL5c/5e/6 page description languages to ensure high productivity.*
Printer Driver User Interface
AUTOMATIC DRIVER CONFIGURATION The Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series uses an intelligent driver that features an automatic configuration function. This enables users to view detailed device information prior to printing. The drivers detect information such as installed hardware options, paper cassettes, paper size and orientation, and paper availability in each cassette. RIP-ONCE TECHNOLOGY When the Hard Disk Drive Option is installed on the Canon Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 and LBP5360 models, documents can be set to RIP once and then stored for high-speed printing of large or complicated print jobs. ENHANCED JOB SPOOLING The Job Spooling feature of the Hard Disk Drive option on the Color imageRUNNER LBP5960/5360 models enables print data to be spooled on the device so users can quickly return to other tasks. DOCUMENT STORAGE CAPABILITIES Color imageRUNNER LBP5960/5360 models offer a convenient feature to store frequently used print jobs in different boxes using the Hard Disk Drive option. Up to 100 print jobs can be stored on the device and printed from the Remote UI Web-based utility.
Print Box Storage Capability
* The Macintosh environment is only supported through the UFR II driver.
AN EASY-TO-USE, COMPACT DEVICE FOR EVERY DESKTOP
FRONT-LOAD ACCESS All models in the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series have been designed with front-load access to consumables in mind, so they can easily be situated in a corner or previously unusable space. SIMPLIFIED MAINTENANCE The Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series provides for quick and easy maintenance of customer-replaceable components. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 device uses a drum and toner cartridge for each color, dramatically simplifying the replacement of consumables. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 model utilizes four distinctive all-in-one cartridges that combine the drum, developer, waste toner box, and toners in a single unit. The imageRUNNER LBP3460 model offers the option of a standard or high-yield all-in-one cartridge, combining the black toner and drum in one unit. ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTATION All models in the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series have CD-based documentation, so users wont have to waste time scanning through large printed manuals. The electronic documentation features powerful search tools to help users locate the answers they need, quickly and easily.

imageRUNNER LBP SERIES ADMINISTRATION AND SECURITY FEATURES
SIMPLIFIED NETWORK CONFIGURATION Administrators will appreciate the Canon NetSpot Device Installer, which provides simplified remote device setup and installation capabilities for the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series. The software enables remote setup of network protocols and device information, as well as real-time monitoring of device status. DEVICE SECURITY To counter unauthorized access, each model in the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series includes the ability to set network security restrictions. Permissions can be granted by IP address range and/or MAC address filtering. DATA SECURITY When the Hard Disk Drive option is installed on Color imageRUNNER LBP5960/5360 models, security features are available to protect your data. The Hard Disk Drive Erase feature completely erases all traces of deleted data by automatically overwriting that portion of the drive.
