Switch on the printer. Press ink button on the printer to bring the cartridges to replace position. Fig4 Lift the cartridge lever, Install the Monster Ink cartridges, fix the tube holder. Allowing just enough length of the tube for the printer head to move from left and right. Fig5 Leave the external reservoir on its side, press the ink button, and adjust the length of the tube to ensure the printer head moves freely. Fig6
Important: all the top row stoppers must be removed and stored on the bottom row; the control valve is released before switching on the printer. 6. Open the printer properties, select printing preferences, select maintenance. Run a few head cleanings to prime the system, and then print a nozzle check. If the nozzle check is not OK, refer to Trouble Shooting. Fig7 and Fig8

Important: always place the external reservoir on the same level as the printer head to avoid ink leaking into the printer. Always refill your system before it becomes completely empty, we recommend refilling when there is 5mm ink remaining. Only OCP ink should be used to refill your Monster Ink System. Mixing different brands of ink will result in unpredictable colour output and cause damage to the system and the printer.
Trouble Shooting: 1. One or more colour are missing in print out. Breather stoppers are not removed: Control valve is not released: Cartridge is not fitted properly. 2. Mechanic malfunction or printer head jam. Ensure that there is just enough tube for printer head to move freely and the tube holder is in the correct position. 3. Nozzle check still shows one or two gaps, after head cleaning. Leave the system 2-3 hours or over night for the frothy ink to dissolve, and then print nozzle check. Do not continuously to run head clean as it will waste lots of ink. 4. Ink leak into the printer. The external reservoir must always be placed on the same level as the printer head. 5. Cartridge can not be recognized. Ensure the cartridge chips contacts are clean, use rubber eraser if cleaning is needed. Do not use any sharp object, as it could damage the contacts. 6. Printer monitor showing ink level is low or needs replacing. Switch on the printer, unplug the main power while the power light is on, wait 1-2 seconds then plug the main power back on and switch on the printer.

PRINT Image Matching II

With the EPSON STYLUS PHOTO 830U, photographers can now break free of the sRGB colour confines, thanks to PRINT Image Matching (P.I.M.). The colour space information captured by a P.I.M./P.I.M. II-enabled digital camera is utilised by the EPSON STYLUS PHOTO 830U, ensuring prints reflect the cameras unique characteristics and design intentions. The EPSON-developed P.I.M. technology allows digital cameras to set image and print parameters such as gamma, contrast, shadow, colour balance, noise reduction and custom scene settings, which can then be incorporated into automatic modes such as portrait, landscape, macro and sport. P.I.M.
