I ran out of room discussing the cons for the HP 5590. The software works, but is unwieldy, and prone to developing errors. Like on my computer.

Document feeder works well. Able to scan into differnt formats. Higher resolutions are timely to scan. "Fast warm up time","Good Resolution".

None 1. ADF is useless - Why ; You cannot clean inner most rollers ; So after some use duplex scanning is dead. HP - I expect more from you when it comes to scanners. Perhaps you should get out of the lower end price point. Software package is somewhat dumbed-down.

Fantastic scanner. Just download the updated software. Please ignore the negative reviews for this scanner, many of which are way out of date.

No Major Problems I use this scanner at work. I scanned over 3,000 documents and rarely had an issue. scanjet The perfect addition to a home office. The multisheet duplex scanner is as easy as load the sheet feeder and push the scan button.

Terrible software (very unprofessional start up), slow, feeder falls off sometimes, other than that, if you have nothing to do with your $$$, buy it!
