Troubleshooting Connectivity with WINDOWS Systems
KODAK DC4800 Zoom Digital Camera
Updated 7 March, 2002 The purpose of this document is to help you use the DC Diagnostics tool on your KODAK DC4800 Software Installation CD. Follow these steps to create a text file that contains important information about your system that helps troubleshoot your connectivity problems. This document is written with the DC4800 as an example, but you can use it for any of the following KODAK digital products: KODAK DC5000, DC4800, DC215, DC240, DC280, DC260, DC265, DC290, EZ200, DVC300, DVC325, DVC323, FD300, KODAK Snapshot Scanner and the KODAK PhotoDoc Scanner.

Using DC Diagnostics

To use DC Diagnostics: Go to the CD-ROM drive letter for the installation CD. D:\DC4800\In_case Double-click the In_Case folder and then double-click DC Diagnostics.exe. The Connectivity Diagnostics Tool window opens.
Eastman Kodak Company, 2002
Select the DC4800 camera.
Run Check Files and a dialog box appears. The resulting list indicates what files, if any, are missing from your installation.
To determine the system configuration quickly, run System Scan. System Scan creates a text file that you can email to customer service for evaluation.
To determine USB Connectivity, run the PCI/USB scan. The PCI/USB Scan lists specific information on the USB host controller, graphics controller, etc.
