Items Required Original Lexmark No.2 Cartridge, Drill, Syringe, Filling Tube, Newspaper, sticky tape & Colour Ink
1. Lay down some newspaper in the area you are refilling to protect the surface you are working on. 2. Remove the label from the top of the cartridge. (fig.1) 3. You will see that there are 3 very small holes on the top of the cartridge, see fig.2 for accurate positions. 4. These holes need to enlarged to allow the steel filling tube access. Use the drill to enlarge the three holes. 5. To prevent contamination cover the 2 holes you aren't filling with tape. 6. Fill the syringe with 7ml of the required ink. 7. SLOWLY refill the cartridge. Make sure you are putting the correct ink in the correct hole (fig.2) 8. Repeat as necessary, making sure to cover the other 2 holes each time to prevent contamination. 9. When finished remove all tape and insert into printer. 10. Leave the cartridge to stand for around 8 hours. This will allow the ink to fully saturate the sponge inside the cartridge. 11. Run 1-3 cleaning cycles and then your printer cartridge should be ready to use. The cartridge should now print like a new cartridge, although the ink level monitor will show it as empty. The ink monitor does not reset.
