| Represents very good value. VC is excellent in low light conditions, I find it adds the equivalent of quite a few stops. I do various types of photography including Weddings and I wanted a lense that I could leave on my Canon 40D whatever subject I was photographing. I used this lens on a Nikon D90. I may have only have used this for a sort time, so far it has been good. | |

| I am a serious hobby photographer and use a Canon 40D. I have several lenses. Great zoom range, reasonable price, reasonably fast auto focus ; lens will extend by itself if partially extended and pointing down. | |

| best deal especially considering the mail in rebate frm tamron. good all purpose lens. Durable","Nice Bokeh","Strong Construction Heavy","Lens Creep Pros: - It's a good all-purpose lens and will stay on my camera most of the time (no need to carry 3 lenses with you all the time). - Pretty sharp. | |

| Excellent general purpose lens at a good price. Reviews at other sites place it a bit better than the Canon comparable lens. Nice overall lens as long as you shoot outdoor. If you shoot indoor photos, consider another lens besides this one. | |

| The zoom range is amazing for the price. Thought about the canon 18 x 200, but for $20 more, 70 mm more zoom - makes a difference. I USE THIS LENS FOR TRAVELING WITH MY SECONDARY CAMERA. | |

| Good price and an excellent product After much research I purchased the Tamron Wide Angle lens great product at a ngreat price. Great all in one lens I already had the 18-250mm lens and the extra 20mm hardly makes any difference but he image stabilizer does.. Forget Brand Snobbery Well, I ummed and aaghed about this one. It was a toss up between Canon, Sigma and Tamron variants in the wide angle range. | |
