Ultra66 fully supports CRC errorchecking of Ultra DMA drives to assure reliable data transfers. The included FREE 80-wire/40-pin IDE cable offers further protection by adding 40 ground wires that reduce crosstalk between data signals which improves signal integrity to prevent data loss or error.

Separate device timing allows users to mix and match drives and/or IDE devices and run each at their highest-rated speeds.

The Ultra66 BIOS offers conflict-free, easy installation with true Plug n Play PCI support. Ultra66 lets you dedicate hard drives to Ultra66 and ATAPI devices to your motherboard to eliminate conflicts. In addition, the BIOS automatically detects if the 80-wire IDE cable is used with an Ultra DMA/66 drive. If a standard 40-pin cable is used, an Ultra DMA/66 drive will only run at 33MB/sec.
