Very fast, economical and efficient Spits out extra sheet of blank paper for no reason Very economical, excellent copies, toner saver feature No USB, but you can get that anywhere

I use my printer on a daily basis at home. The Samsung printer was recommended to me by my brother. I bought the name brand toner replacement because other reviewers reported problems with the generics. It was expensive but works great.

First cartridge lasted about 6 years of minimal printing. Quickly replaced used toner cartridge with this one. Up and running within a minute None

Toner cartridge The toner works as described by the manufacturer. I always use the brand name replacements and have found them to perform well.

Samsung were very cooperative in organizing an RMA. (NewEgg do not RMA consumables - Manufacturer only). The free cartridges that come with the printer are only 1/2 capacity "starter" cartidges.

After using the ML1710 for about a month and printing over 3000 pages, I can say that it is a good buy for the money.

Conversion of an OEM Samsung ML1710 Cartridge to a SCX4200 Cartridge by using Delacamp Top Cover for Samsung SCX4200 (61013)
Top Cover for Samsung SCX4200 (61013) These instructions will provide the information required to convert the OEM Samsung ML1710 Cartridge to a SCX4200 Cartridge by using the Delacamp Top Cover 61013.

Procedures

Step 1: Machine off the hook and cut off the rib completely on the Samsung 1710 cartridge bottom section as shown in the photo. This operation will allow the bottom section to have the space for the chip.
Step 2: Use hot melt glue to glue the chip in the Delacamp Top Cover for Samsung SCX4200 in a vertical position. Make sure there is a gap of approximately 2.0mm between the chip and the inner wall.
Step3: Fully assemble the Delacamp Top Cover for Samsung SCX4200 to the base. An OEM Samsung ML1710 Cartridge is now converted to a SCX4200 Cartridge.
