Acer unleashes new multimedia PCs for home market Acer South Africa has released two new PCs for the consumer market, the Acer Aspire M1610 - an affordable multimedia computer that delivers great power and excellent value, and the Acer Aspire M5630, which is designed for hassle-free everyday computing. Both are available with immediate effect through Incredible Connection. The Aspire M1610 is a Windows Vista desktop that brings together an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 500GB of hard drive storage based on Serial ATA 3 Gb/s technology, and up to 4GB of RAM to deliver solid performance for multimedia and entertainment software packages. The Aspire M5630, meanwhile, features the energy-efficient and entertainmentoriented Intel G31 Express Chipset with the Intel Core 2 Quad processor accompanied by up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and an ample Serial ATA hard disk drive. The Intel Core 2 Quad processor accelerates the handling of the latest high-intensity home entertainment and multi-threaded applications, while the Intel G31 Express Chipset with Intel ICH7-DHand Intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics technology allows for stunning visuals. This PC offers high-definition audio with 7.1-channel surround sound and S/PDIF support delivers crystal clear acoustics for a theatre-like entertainment experience at home.
