2007-06-25 15:23:26 I got this new laptop as a substantial upgrade to a 15' Pentium 4 (not mobile) Toshiba from 2002. That was a bulky machine. Fast. Given all the debate about current Vista performance, opted for Office XP Pro. This and the Vaio software needs a few updates. Works great.

I bought this laptop through the Sony trade-in promotion. The size and the power were just the right configuration that I needed.

Nvidia card has some problem auto switching to external monitor * Vaio power managemnet goes beyond standard windows feature to shut down certain hard... good looking, sleek and got XP on it, so no worries about Vista. battery is lil bit loose on the compartment, does not fit in exactly.

For people like me who need a laptop to travel with without adding weight and for whom screen quality and a good keyboard is very important.
