great phone... stable price... easy used... great music tracker... large display... huge space to store many things.. on daylight. It is a very good phone, have it now since 3 months and it works perfect. Software is fast enough, display has good quality, Mp3 player sounds good.

At first, tis phone sucked with its tiny icons & un-user friendly UI. a music phone that leaves a lot lacking. how about adding some of the following to entice people to this type of phone: 4GB memory.

I have installed the latest Sony Ericsson PC Suite but still I am not able to operate my phone. Sony ericsson media Manager is showing in orange color. Kindly provide me the link how to get it activate as I can not see my phone a external drive as well in my PC. OS which I am using is Win XP SP3.
I would feel great if some one could guide me, how to transfer files from Laptop to Phone connected via USB as my laptop doesn't have Bluetooth enabled.
If any SW patch or upgrade is required kindly send me the URL to download.

Does your phone not appear as a removable disk drive on your PC when you connect via USB in File transfer/Mass storage USB mode?

Can you connect to the Disc2phone application on your PC? If not, I suggest you check the security of the USB connections, especially at the phone end and/or try a different USB port or USB cable.You can also try using a different PC.Which version of PC suite are you trying to connect to and in which USB mode?

Disk2Phone application is installed at my PC even I have tried changing my PC as well.
Sony PC Suite version is also updated [ 1.6.0 ]
I installed these SW suits on different PCs and tried connecting it but still no success.
I don't know why this Media Manager appears in Orange color.

Above mentioned options are coming orange and while clicking on these icons it says install the SW from www.SonyEricsson.com/support

You can try the phone's remote update service (no PC needed) and/or a master reset.

Sony Ericsson w950i Touchscreen Faulty

My w950i touchscreen is completly not working. Everything else with the phone works fine but the backlight is constantly on so the battery only lasts for 3 hours when fully charged. I ordered a touchscreen digitizer to replace but when dismantling I seen the glass appeared to be 'glued' onto a chrome backing so i am unable to proceed. Could anyone help with what part that needs replaced?
