Storage Combi
All the benefits of a combi, with the convenience of hot water storage in one unit.
The Vitodens 333 floor-standing storage combi offers all the features of the Vitodens 300, with the added benefit of a built-in 86 litre DHW cylinder. The Vitodens 333 delivers 19.8 litres per minute of hot water, giving the equivalent of a 200 litre storage cylinder, by supplementing the combi hot water output, with stored water in the cylinder.

APPLICATIONS:

The Vitodens 333 is the perfect solution for apartments and houses that require the combined hot water convenience of traditional combi and system boilers but have limited space for a separate DHW cylinder.

EFFICIENCY:

Viessmanns modulating MatriX-compact gas burner ensures energy savings and clean, quiet combustion. Innovative heating technology and compact modular design maximise performance.

CONTROL OPTIONS:

This storage combi can be operated with Viessmann and non-Viessmann external controls. Optional weather compensation controls increase efficiency by a further 10%.
RELIABILITY: PERFORMANCE:
With a flow rate of 19.8 l/min the Vitodens 333 delivers hot water convenience that would otherwise only be possible from an external cylinder twice the size. The Vitodens 333 features the Inox-Radial heat exchanger, made from 100% corrosion-free stainless steel, for long term durability.

WEATHER COMPENSATION:

A sensor outside communicates with the boiler, to vary the operating flow temperature, according to outside and inside temperatures. Keeping the temperature as low as possible ensures that the boiler condenses for virtually all of its operating period.

SERVICING:

All serviceable parts are positioned at the front of the Vitodens 333, enabling easy access for servicing and maintenance.

The complete range
Viessmann has developed a range of high efficiency domestic gas condensing boilers for every application.
The Vitodens 100-W, which comprises System and Combi models, along with the Compact for open vented systems, was designed specifically for the UK market. The Vitodens 200-W is a high specification boiler featuring Viessmanns unique Energy Management System, with gas monitoring technology and advanced control options. For domestic installations, outputs from 4.3kW to 35kW are available and the new extended range includes outputs up to 105kW for commercial applications. The Vitodens 333-F is a one piece storage combi which also has the Energy Management System. With an integral 86 litre DHW cylinder, it achieves a flow rate of 19 litres/min. The Vitodens 343-F heating tower has an integral solar DHW cylinder and all solar controls and connections already built-in, for easy connection to Vitosol panels.

Stainless Steel

Condensing technology is one of the cleanest and most economical forms of heating, with the capture of additional heat from the flue gas achieving up to 98% efficiency. To achieve these benefits over a long period of time, it is essential that the components and heating surfaces of a condensing boiler are built to withstand the high demands of the condensing process. The Inox-Radial heat exchangers used in our Vitodens boilers are manufactured in-house from 100% corrosion-free stainless steel for long-term reliability. Their unique design and positioning ensure self cleaning along with maximum efficiency and high performance (see page 14).

Training
At Viessmann UK Headquarters in Telford we offer a comprehensive programme of support for our domestic, commercial and renewable heating systems, with training courses taking place every week in our dedicated training facility. Training takes the form of both classroom discussions and practical training. CORGI registered installers, merchants and local government specifiers are welcome to attend Viessmann training courses.
The three day CITB solar course is suitable for:
anyone working towards becoming an approved contractor under the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme (UKMCS) specifiers, architects, design staff and supervisors who will not be installing equipment but need to have a technical understanding of how systems are installed and how they function Our objective in offering this course is to provide: awareness and understanding of solar technologies a practical framework to promote solar systems customers with details of the relevant Standard Assessment procedure (SAP) energy saving information contractors with the skills and competencies required to support an application to become an approved certified contractor administered by BRE Certification Ltd.

Domestic boiler training

Most courses run over one or two days and certificates are issued on the successful completion of each course. The successful completion of a boiler training course enables installers to offer a FULL FREE 5 YEAR WARRANTY to their customers.

CITB Solar training

Solar courses are also held weekly and our new solar training facility has been developed to provide a CITB accredited solar course, in addition to the free introduction to solar course.

The amazing Compact boiler offers all the advantages of Viessmann quality and stainless steel engineering in our smallest ever boiler. Open vented systems make special demands on the heat exchanger and all of these have been taken into consideration in developing the Compact for the UK market. Designed for simple integration into all popular systems and controls, the Vitodens 100-W Compact is perfect for new installations and boiler replacements on Y and S plan installations. At just 530mm high and 350mm wide and with all serviceable components accessible from the front its easily fitted into kitchen cupboards. The Compact achieves high levels of efficiency through the modulating action of the burner, which accurately matches

Suitable for both new build and replacement applications on sealed systems, the new Vitodens 100-W System and Combi combine great performance with easy installation and maintenance. The Vitodens 100-W also helps to achieve long term savings on gas bills as it is designed to work with weather compensation controls. The addition of a small outdoor sensor (see accessories on page 21) can achieve savings of up to 15% per year. As with all Vitodens boilers, they feature the InoX-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger, designed and manufactured by Viessmann for outstanding performance and long term reliability.
The modulating action of the MatriX pre-mix cylinder burner accurately matches output to the heat requirement for comfort and efficiency. Combi and System models also benefit from the Viessmanns space-saving AquaBloc. All the hydraulic connections, along with the diverter valve, are centrally mounted and easily accessible for quick and easy routine maintenance. The Vitodens 100-W has a wide range of control options including plug-in timers and wireless programmers (see page 20).

The Vitodens 200-W is packed with Viessmann quality and technology. Suitable for new build and replacement applications, it can run on either natural gas or LPG at the flick of a switch - with no adjustment of the gas valve. A feature of the Vitodens 200-W is the Lambda Pro combustion control, which ensures optimum performance irrespective of gas quality. The modulating MatriX cylinder burner is designed for high efficiency and a low energy pump reduces electricity consumption by around 25% per year. For even higher efficiency and additional savings of up to 20% per year, the Vitodens 200-W is fully compatible with our weather compensation controls.
Naturally, Viessmanns own stainless steel heat exchanger is a key component for long term reliability and durability. The Vitodens 200-W is particularly easy to integrate with renewable energy technologies, including Vitosol 200 flat and tube solar thermal panels.

The Vitodens 333-F offers all the advantages of a high efficiency combi boiler with the added benefit of a built-in 86 litre DHW cylinder. The Vitodens 333-F delivers 19 litres per minute of hot water and gives the equivalent of a storage cylinder twice its size, by supplementing the combi hot water output with stored water in the cylinder and constant top-up. This high performance unit has all the advantages of the Vitodens 200-W boiler, including Viessmanns unique Energy Management System with Lambda Pro combustion control.
The Vitodens 333-F also features the modulating MatriX burner and the InoX-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger, for low emissions, high efficiency and reliable operation. An electronic heating control maximises the condensing period of the boiler. All serviceable parts are positioned at the front of the unit, with easy access to the electrical connections. Hydraulic components are pre-assembled in a single unit for rapid installation and easy servicing and maintenance. This storage combi has 3 product options depending on the required controls (constant temp, constant temp plus clock or weather compensation).

Perfect for new build houses, the Vitodens 343 represents the future of low energy, low carbon, high efficiency heating. It offers the ultimate in convenience, with a footprint of just 677mm x 600mm and all serviceable parts accessible from the front. DHW storage is provided by a huge 250 litre unvented solar cylinder. The 16kW booster function ensures economic operation whilst providing excellent DHW convenience. With solar controls and connections built-in, the unit is fully prepared for quick and easy solar panel connection, either immediately or in the future. The heating tower also benefits from all the boiler features youd expect from our high specification boilers, including the Lambda Pro combustion control, the InoxRadial stainless steel heat exchanger and the modulating MatriX burner. Solar Pack
The Vitodens 343-F is available as a Solar Pack, complete with solar panels
The Vitodens 343-F makes it particularly easy to incorporate solar panels into a heating and hot water system. If youre ready to fit solar when you install the Vitodens 343-F, a Viessmann solar pack is the answer. Whenever solar energy is available the collectors will harvest the heat energy and store it in the 250 litre DHW cylinder. The boiler will only be used to heat DHW when the temperature falls below a set level. Solar panels will save up to 60% of the annual DHW fuel bill - around 15-20% of the total fuel bill.
The combined benefits of condensing technology, efficient DHW heating and storage and solar power along with perfectly matched components make the Vitodens 343-F a highly efficient and desirable product. The Vitodens 343-F solar packs have been designed to suit the needs of low energy houses, with a range of plate and tube panel options to choose from.

Modulating MatriX pre-mix burner
Developed by Viessmann, the MatriX burner distributes heat cleanly and efficiently. Nitrogen oxide production is kept to a minimum as the gas burns almost without flame, thanks to the complete pre-mixing of air and gas.
The secret of the MatriX burner is its stainless steel mesh. The metered gas-air mixture is evenly distributed and the fine mesh and large surface area ensure that the gas leaves the mesh at low velocity, resulting in combustion without a visible blue flame. The wire mesh is flexible enough to accommodate the temperature differentials during heat-up and cool-down phases. The extremely low NOx and CO emissions meet or exceed all international clean air regulations and guidelines. With a modulation range of 1:4 the heat demand is optimised and maximum efficiency levels are achieved. Vitodens 100-W and 200-W models feature the compact MaxtriX cylinder burner. The Vitodens 333-F and 343-F are fitted with our dome-shaped radiant burner, which employs the same technology, for outstanding efficiency.
Inox-Radial heat exchanger
All Vitodens domestic boilers, feature Viessmanns unique stainless steel heat exchanger, designed for long-term reliability, high performance and self-cleaning. Efficient transfer of heat from the heating gas to the water depends on the heating gas being in extremely close contact with the heating surface. Viessmann has developed special technologies for this very purpose, resulting in the unique Inox-Radial heat exchanger. The design is such that heat transfer takes place across a laminar split flow. Instead of a round stainless steel pipe, the heat exchanger has a rectangular profile, which is spiral wound to achieve sensible and latent heat extraction in a single phase. A slot of 0-8mm is maintained across the total length and this produces a laminar flow without a boundary layer - for excellent heat transfer. This component is so reliable that it is

Lambda Pro Control
The Lambda Pro combustion controller works alongside the burner to constantly monitor the air to gas ratio. Instead of the gas mix remaining fixed from commissioning, the mix is automatically adjusted as required to maintain the correct ratio - in a similar way to the fuel management system in a car engine. This also means that on-site commissioning time is reduced. The Lambda Pro is designed to work efficiently irrespective of the quality of the gas - a factor which will become more and more important as international gas supplies become less reliable. The control replaces the traditional gas valve control and changing to LPG takes just a few seconds - with no changing of any parts! The Lambda Pro is an integral component of the Vitodens 200-W, Vitodens 333-F and Vitodens 343-F.

Weather Compensation

Weather compensation controls are a great, low cost way to make a boiler operate more efficiently. They can save up to 15% of annual fuel bills - thats on top of the big savings that you get from changing to a condensing boiler. The boiler is connected to a small sensor on the outside of the building. When the temperature changes outside, the boiler responds and starts to increase or decrease the radiator temperature, to compensate. This pro-active mechanism means that people inside the building wont even notice that the temperature outside has changed.
These constant small changes also mean that the boiler is able to operate at the minimum temperature required to keep the rooms warm. This keeps the return temperature as low as possible and a return temperature of 57C or less means the boiler can condense. Weather compensation maximises the condensing period of the boiler and results in significant fuel savings. A range of Vitoset accessories is available to help with the easy installation of Vitodens boilers. These include a boiler fixing kit, which enables the pre-piping of boilers and a rear pipework mounting frame, where pipework can run vertically behind the boiler. A domestic pluming kit is also available for the Vitodens range.

Control Options

Viessmann boilers have the added benefit of advanced control technology. Viessmann controls are easy to install, maintain and operate and benefit from fault logging and diagnostic systems. They switch easily between winter and summer settings and some models have useful short cuts, including holiday, party and economy settings. All Vitodens boilers will operate with Viessmann and non-Viessmann external controls. Analogue Time Switch (Part No. 7296062) For Vitodens 100-W (WB1B only). Single channel plug-in time switch.
