The Brita On Tap Faucet Filter is designed to improve the taste of drinking water and to reduce substances of potential health hazard lead, cysts (giardia, cryptosporidium), asbestos, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, styrene, toxaphene, atrazine, lindane, 2,4-D, methoxychlor, chlordane, alachlor, endrin, carbofuran, heptachlor epoxide, trichloroethylene, simazine, tetrachloroethylene, chlorobenzene, o-dichlorobenzene, carbon tetrachloride - from drinking water and, thus, provide a health benefit. No adverse health effects are associated with its use. Since the filter is a sealed unit, exposure to the filter contents can occur only if the filter is broken. If filter breakage occurs, no adverse health effects are expected. No medical conditions are known to be aggravated by exposure to this product. FIRST AID (In the event of direct exposure to filter contents): INGESTION: Drink a glassful of water; then call a physician. EYE CONTACT: physician. Flush eyes with water.
