Screening Room Information Packet
The Zaentz Media Center has two screening rooms on-site: the Alan Splet Theatre and the Ron Jacobs Memorial Screening Room. Both have reception areas making them perfect for educational or corporate seminars and private parties. The facilities are used annually by AMPAS for Oscar selection screenings, making Berkeley one of the four locations in the world hosting this event.
1. The Alan Splet Theatre was originally used as the mixing and editing facility for more than 200 films at the Saul Zaentz Film Center. The room itself was designed by the renowned Jeff Cooper Architects and has had a recent audio and video system upgrade. The room seats 53 people. 2. The Ron Jacobs Memorial Screening Room, also has had a recent audio and video upgrade, and comfortably seats 49 people in a wonderfully intimate atmosphere.

Theater Operation:
