The PR-SC886 delivers state-of-the-art features and performance for the most technically sophisticated home theatres. Designed to connect to high-end amplifiers, this A/V controller includes full high-definition processing capability over HDMI, comprehensive 1080p upscaling of video sources with HQV Reon-VX, and a wide array of connection options. Its also the first A/V controller to feature built-in ISF (Image Science Foundation) video calibration alongside Onkyos RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) system integration and control protocol.The PR-SC886 supports multi-room set-ups, including the option of component and composite video outputs in the second zone and subwoofer pre outs for the second and third zones.
Advanced Video Processing and 1080p Upscaling with HQV Reon-VX
HQV Reon-VX is the most sophisticated video-processing chip available for home theatre. The PR-SC886 is equipped with MultEQ XT*, Audysseys most powerful built-in solution for countering distortion in dedicated home theatres. Gathering measurements from up to eight positions in the listening area, it takes account of both frequency response and time domain (where most of the problems lie) across the entire listening area, to deliver a clear, well-balanced, and natural sound.The PR-SC886 also features two other Audyssey technologies: (1) Dynamic EQ, which selects the best frequency response and surround levels moment-by-moment, for the best listening experience at any volume; and (2) Dynamic Volume, which maintains the desired listening level for all content, while optimizing the dynamic range.

You can use the Zone 2 and Zone 3 pre outs to connect to amplifiers and subwoofers in two other rooms.The PR-SC886 also sends video images (such as a movie or TV broadcast) to Zone 2 (via component video or composite video).The PR-SC886 lets you adjust volume levels and balance in both zones, as well as bass and treble in Zone 2.

Ideally suited for large-scale installations, the PR-SC886 includes an Ethernet port for easy integration with both AMX and Crestron control systems (via Device Discovery and e-control, respectively). In addition, it features a bi-directional RS-232 port, IR compatibility, and 12-volt trigger connectivity for extensive system integration.
