Sony BDP-S1 Blu-ray Player Is Again Delayed for October 25

It seems that Sony has delayed again the launching of its so expected Blu-ray player - the Sony BDP-S1, informs HDBeat.Sony's BDP-S1 disc player has an output feature that will let those who own first-generation HD TV sets play Blu-ray video content. In addition, according to Sony, the BDP-S1 will be backwards-compatible with standard DVDs and existing receivers.HDBlog was the first one to notice that the date which appears on the SonyStyle website was again changed with October 25th. As you already know, there have been many articles written on the Sony BDP-S1 issue. Some believe that the hardware parts are not ready, and some, most of the web-based publications, are saying that Sony delays its Blu-ray player in order to get ready the also debated gaming console Playstation 3. The first rumors regarding Sony's Blu-ray player have been spread earlier this month, when it was said that both Sony and Pioneer have delayed the release dates for their upcoming Blu-Ray players. Consequently, Sony's BDP-S1 had to be launched on the retail market starting 15 August, four months later then the previous date, and purchased at an estimated price of $1000. However, Pioneer's player will be shipped after Sony's product, in late September, with an estimated cost of $1500, $300 less than the previous announcement.Furthermore, Sony has also released yesterday numerous movies coming on Blu-ray discs such as '50 First Dates', 'The Fifth Element', 'Hitch', 'House of Flying Daggers', 'The Terminator', 'Underworld Evolution', and 'XXX'.
