Gracenote MusicID

If Media Go can access information about a track, album, or CD (either from the file, from the CD itself, or from a local cache), it automatically reads and displays this information when you insert a CD or browse music on your computer. However, if this information is not available, Media Go can retrieve it over the Internet from Gracenote MusicID. When Media Go obtains information from Gracenote MusicID, it is saved to a local cache in your computer. This means the information is displayed more quickly the next time the tracks or albums are displayed. If the software cannot obtain the appropriate CD or track information from the Gracenote MusicID database, and the information is not available on your computer, the tracks are simply listed numerically. In this case, you can right-click the CD in the Library navigation pane and select Submit CD Info from the shortcut menu to enter information about the disc and submit it to Gracenote MusicID.
Gracenote MusicID requires an active Internet connection.

Organising your media

Searching your media
If you want to search for media in your library, or on your devices, there is a search box in the upper right corner of the pane. To search your media Select the category (such as Music, Video Clips, or Photos) in your library or in the device you want to search. Click to change the search method. If you have added tags to your files, you can specify those tags in the search to find files with given tags. Click to remove the search filter and return to your original view.
Managing your library folders
To use Media Go to search and manage your media files, you need to tell the application where your files are stored on your computer. This is done using the Library Folders dialog box. Media Go then monitors the specified folders for new and modified files, and updates your library accordingly. If Media Go is monitoring folders that you no longer want monitored, you can remove those folders from your library. To manage your library folders Right-click Library in the Library navigation pane. Make your changes and click OK.
