Adaptive cruise control

Adaptive cruise control monitors distance to the vehicle in front via radar sensors and automatically reduces speed, as well as resumes speed to maintain the driver-selected distance.

Audi side assist

Audi side assist system monitors the blind spot areas at a range of about 150 feet to the rear of the car for fast-approaching vehicles. If Audi side assist identifies another vehicle when you signal to change lanes, it informs you via a flashing LED light in the exterior mirror housing.

Developed and continually refined by Audi, quattro offers a significantly enhanced level of all-wheel drive performance. With a 60-40 [S8 is 40-60] split of power between the front and rear in dry conditions, quattro becomes simply superlative in the worst of conditions.

ESP [Electronic Stabilization Program] allows the driver to maximize control in adverse conditions or when the car is at its handling limit. By employing a number of safety systems, including ABS [Anti-lock Braking], EBD [Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution], EDL [Electronic Differential Lock] and ASR [Traction Control] in a fraction of a second, the A8 intuitively helps the driver to maintain control.
