Periodically inspect all bolts, connection points, and Support Block verifying that all connections remain secure and there are no signs of damage or wear. If problems are noted, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer immediately.
This backrest system has been tested at extreme pressures far greater than what might be typically associated with rapid acceleration, however, for added safety the passenger should maintain a firm hold of grab handles or driver under such conditions. In addition, the driver should always signal the passenger before accelerating.

Backrest Receiver Block 20MM long bolt (2) Flat washers (2) 16MM long bolt(2) Lock washers (2)

Tools you need:

8mm hex wrench

Assembly:

Remove seat from motorcycle. Place Receiver Block into opening at rear of seat. Start bolds E and lock washers F thru Receiver Block into back of seat as shown. Repeat using bolts C and washers D on the bottom of the seat. Now tighten all four bolts.

ATTENTION OPTIONAL STORAGE POD OWNERS:
Insert your new backrest and enjoy!
Replace seat onto motorcycle. Lift World Sport logo slot cover and insert backrest A into slot until you hear a click. Now you are ready to go! Important: Once in use periodically inspect ALL bolts to insure they remain secure.
About your backrest: Once bolted together the Receiver Block and Seat Base Pan together form a very strong backrest support system. The backrest user will notice some spring flex as backward pressure is applied. This flexing is normal and is part of the system strength. Because backward pressure is distributed throughout the entire Seat Base Pan, the amount of flex will diminish slightly when downward pressure is applied to the front seat (i.e. a driver is seated).

Remove the following: -Seats -Upper side fairings -Fuel tank -Intake runners with filters -Airbox

Remove the clip from each injector to the fuel rail (Fig. B)

Remove the fuel rail to access the fuel injectors. To remove the fuel rail remove the 4 bolts holding it to the throttle bodies.
Leave the injectors in the throttle body. Dont lose the Orings for the injectors

Unplug the stock wiring harness from each injector (Fig. D).
Lay the PCIII in the tail section and route the harness down the right hand side of the bike towards the throttle bodies. Plug the PCIII harness in-line of the stock wiring harness and fuel injectors PCIII harness: Orange - cylinder #1 Yellow - cylinder #2 Green - cylinder #3 Blue - cylinder #4

Locate the stock Throttle Position Sensor connector (Fig. F). Unplug the stock TPS connector and plug the PCIII harness in-line. Removing the right hand fairing makes this step easier.

Reinstall the fuel rail Reinstall the airbox Make sure the PCIII ground wire is pulled towards the outside of the frame.

Route the PCIII ground wire along the stock ground wire. Attach the ground wire of the PCIII to the negative side of the battery (Fig. G).

Install the PCIII in the tail section using the supplied velcro Make sure to clean both surfaces with the alcohol swab before attaching.
Unplug the stock O2 sensor from the main wiring harness (Fg. J). This connection is located near the starter motor. The O2 sensor will no longer be connected to anything. It can be removed from the exhaust if desired.
