The Akrapovic RACING OPEN & EVOLUTION OPEN line is the highest level of exhaust systems tuning and with hexagonal shaped muffler fits perfectly to character of the superfast ZZR 1400. The conical tubing with interference crossover tubes between the header tubes work exceptionally well. With the Akrapovic exhaust system you will get massive power boost, more torque, a sportier sound and an even more aggressive top-level look on this muscular motorcycle. You can choose between classy titanium or carbon-fiber muffler that stand out through their excellent quality. The systems are available in open version only. You will also save in overall weight compared to stock system. PERFORMANCE Measurements of the Akrapovic RACING OPEN & EVOLUTION OPEN system on the Kawasaki ZZR 1400 (without muffler insert): The power curve shows a huge increase over the stock performance figures. It is much more linear, which means the engine is pulling strong and consistently right from the lowest rpm to the highest part of the overrev range. We measured a max. power output on rear wheel of 183.4 HP and maximum increased power of 10.2 HP at 6800 rpm. The same goes for torque, which is also increased through entire rpm range. The drop-outs in the stock curve are filled and like the power curve, there is a major increase from 2000 rpm on. CONFIGURATION The configuration of the Akrapovic RACING OPEN & EVOLUTION OPEN system for the ZZR 1400 is 4-2-1, made of conical stainless steel or titanium tubes and a muffler. The system includes interference crossover tubes between the header tubes and CNC machined header tube inner sleeves. The mufflers are available with either a titanium or carbon-fiber outer sleeve, attached to the motorcycle with an Akrapovic carbon-fiber muffler clamp. The individual elements of the system header tubes, collector, link pipe and muffler are connected with sleeve joints, secured with silicon-shielded springs. PERFORMANCE

The powerful speedster offers a great tuning platform for all levels of tuning. Our sporty and lightweight SLIP-ON systems offer a great balance between price and performance and represent the first step in the exhaust system tuning process. The muffler outer sleeve is made of titanium or carbon-fiber, which gives a special hitech touch to our SLIP-ON system. We offer open and a street legal version. PERFORMANCE Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system on the Kawasaki ZZR 1400 (without noise damper): The Akrapovic SLIP-ON system will deliver power and torque increase from a simple modification. Power output is smoother over the entire rpm range, with biggest increase in bottom and top of power curve. We measured a max. power increase of 5.3 HP at 6900 rpm and max. power output of 177.1 HP at 9400 rpm on the rear wheel. The torque is increased over the entire rpm range, which is exceptionally useful for more comfortable and smooth riding. With our SLIP-ON systems you will also save 6.55 kg in comparison with the stock mufflers. CONFIGURATION The SLIP-ON SERIES exhaust system has a 2-2 configuration and is composed of two main parts: a conical stainless steel link pipe and a muffler with titanium outer sleeve. The link pipes are attached to the header assembly with a sleeve joint, secured with a metal clamp. The link pipes and mufflers are connected with sleeve joint, secured with silicon shielded springs. The homologated version also include a catalytic converter to comply with all emission regulations and carbon fiber heat shield. Mufflers are attached to frame with carbon fiber-clamp. PERFORMANCE
