INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR DYNOMAX KIT: 19396 1998-02 Chevrolet Camaro / Pontiac Firebird 3.8L V6 Dual Exhaust Tail Pipes

DANGER WARNING: SHOULD THE PURCHASER DECIDE TO INSTALL ANY EXHAUST PRODUCT AT HOME, BE WARNED THAT PASSENGER CAR OR LIGHT DUTY TRUCK/VAN BUMPER JACKS ARE INTENDED FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY. THE USE OF FRAME CONTACT JACK STANDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FLOOR JACK AS MAIN SUPPORT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MINIMIZE ACCIDENTAL DROPPING OF A VEHICLE DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS. NOTE: Read all instructions before starting any work. 1. Remove the old exhaust system assembly from the vehicle. Lubricate the rubber isolators with WD-40, or a similar product, to aid in removal of the metal rod hangers. If the O.E. welded assembly is to be removed, cut the intermediate pipe just ahead of the rear axle. 2. Install DynoMax front intermediate pipe 54299. Finger tighten the 2" inlet clamp.
6. Install right hand tail pipe 53304. Finger tighten the 2" clamp to connect the tail pipe to the muffler. 7. Beginning at the inlet end, align all the parts and fully tighten all clamps. 8. Please see system diagram on back page of these instructions.

KIT CONTAINS:

3. Install DynoMax over-axle pipe 53303. Insert the rod hanger into the rubber isolator above the axle on the right side. Finger tighten the 2" clamp that connects the over-axle pipe to the intermediate pipe 4. Install DynoMax Super Turbo muffler 17739. Finger tighten the 2" clamp to connect the muffler to the over-axle pipe. 5. Install left hand tail pipe 53305. Insert the rod hanger into the rubber isolator. Finger tighten the 2" clamp to connect the tail pipe to the muffler.
