Getting acquainted with your New Yeti
A guide to setting up the telephone preparation kit (GSM II) with Bluetooth. This option is not available on the Yeti E or S trim levels.
Connecting a mobile phone using Bluetooth wireless technology The first time you get into your new car you will have to pair a compatible mobile phone with the Bluetooth telephone preparation kit. This only needs to be done once, after this the devices will automatically recognise every time you enter the car and will establish a link.
Road Safety comes first Please be aware that the Bluetooth system is a very easy system to use but phone calls should only be made when it is safe and legal to do so. Remember that the safety of operating a motor vehicle in traffic requires the full attention of the motorist at all times.
A guide to setting up and using Bluetooth
koda, Bluetooth is available as an option on your Yeti SE and comes standard with the Elegance trim level. This easy to follow guide will help you set up your Bluetooth devices. Functions such as using your phone book are all easily accessible via the scroll wheel on the multi-function steering wheel or the stereo/satellite navigation system. This guide is based on a Yeti Elegance with Bolero Radio/CD player and 4 spoke multi-function steering wheel.
A multi-function steering wheel
A multi-function steering wheel lets you control the most commonly used vehicle features such as the radio and telephone safely and conveniently. There is no need to take your hands off the wheel and you can concentrate fully on the road ahead.
3 spoke MFSW, optional on the SE and Elegance models.
4 Spoke MFSW, optional on the SE, standard on Elegance.
Radio/CD Bolero. In conjunction with Bluetooth and a MFSW the touch screen menu of the Bolero gives you easy access to your telephone contacts. The intuitive menu makes calling straight forward, just tap on the touch screen and the system will dial your contact.
Optional Columbus satellite navigation system.
Step 1 - Place key in ignition
Step 2 - Turn on and activate Bluetooth
Step 3 - Search for new devices
Ensure the key is in the ignition and turned one step so that the electrics are on.
On your mobile phone, use the Bluetooth settings menu to activate Bluetooth.
On your mobile phone perform a search for devices. A device should be found called koda_BT.

Step 4 - Pair new device

Step 5 - Confirm user profile
A prompt will appear on your mobile phone to enter a pin number. The default for Yeti is 1234.
Having entered the pin number this will be shortly followed by a beep from the radio. This confirms a connection has been made and the car has found a new mobile phone.
To create a permanent connection with the car you need to confirm the creation of a user profile by clicking the scroll wheel located on the right hand side of the steering wheel.

This will confirm the phones identity and name. Click the scroll wheel once more to complete a user profile.
The system has now registered your phone and profile information on the maxi-dot display and Radio/CD or Columbus Navigation system.

Accessing the main menu

Access the main menu by clicking the scroll wheel located on the right hand side of the steering wheel or by pressing the phone button located on the steering wheel.
To scroll through the menu use scroll wheel. To return to the main menu at any time click the back button. The menu consists of 6 key options, summarised below that can be conveniently used when stationery. We do not recommend the use of these functions whilst on the move.
1. Phonebook accesses the phone's contact library. Select contacts by using the up and down buttons on the multi function steering wheel. 2. Dial Number manually input a telephone number using the scroll wheel on the MFSW. Press the scroll wheel to confirm the selection of each digit. 3. Call register contains a list of previously made and received calls. 4. Voice Mailbox contact your voicemail. 5. Bluetooth add new users, delete user profiles. 6. Settings Phone book settings e.g. ringtones.

Accessing Phone book

Enter the phone menu by clicking the scroll wheel located on the right hand side of the steering wheel or by pressing the phone button located on the steering wheel.
Select Phone book from the menu by clicking the scroll wheel.
Scroll through the phone book until you reach the name of the contact you would like to call.
Click the scroll wheel to select the contact then click again to make the call.
Confirm that you wish to dial the number by clicking the scroll wheel whilst call is highlighted.
To end the call at anytime press the scroll wheel button whilst highlighting the end call function.
Phone book can also be accessed on the Bolero Radio/CD
The Phone book function is available on the Bolero navigation media system.
Access the phone menu by pressing the Phone button.
To access the Phone book press the Phone book button on the touchscreen (bottom right of display).
The phone book will appear on the screen, scroll to the name of the contact you would like to call.
Select the desired contact by pressing the contacts name on the touchscreen.
To end the call at any time press the red phone icon on the touchscreen display.

Voice Activation

A more convenient way of making a call is through the voice recognition function.
To activate this hold down the volume/Telephone button on the MFSW for two seconds. This will activate the voice recognition system.

To make a call

Hold down the volume scroll button on the MFSW for two seconds. Use the command Dial Number.
Relay the number and the car will confirm your selection. A call can be made by saying call. To cancel at any time the dialogue is Cancel.
Alternatively to call someone from your known contacts list hold down the volume scroll button on the MFSW for two seconds. Relay the contacts name using the command Call before the contacts name i.e. call James Taylor.

Deleting a Pairing

If you need to delete a phone from the Bluetooth memory follow the steps below:
Enter the phone menu by clicking the scroll wheel on the right hand side of the steering wheel.
Once in the phone menu scroll to Bluetooth using the scroll wheel.
Enter the Bluetooth menu by clicking the scroll wheel.
Select User by clicking the scroll wheel, when highlighted.
Select name of the paired phone you wish to remove and select by clicking the scroll wheel.
Select Delete using the scroll wheel to select the item and then click to delete. The pairing will now be deleted from the system.
Activating Bluetooth Media devices
On your mobile phone, ensure Bluetooth is activated.
This will enable you to stream music from your MP3 player to the audio system via a Bluetooth connection.
Step 2 - Access the media on your device i.e. Ipod / Iphone
On the Bolero Radio/CD system select Setup. Press the touchscreen media button. Press the touchscreen button highlighted Activate Bluetooth Audio.
Select your media from your MP3 device and play any song (Bluetooth logo beside the volume control on iphone).
Select Media from the radio/cd device. Then select the media device input from the top menu on the touchscreen. Highlighted BT-Audio.
The radio/cd player or Columbus system will then ask whether you wish to activate the BT Audio (Bluetooth audio function) confirm this to begin streaming your music.
A guide to Varioflex seating

Varioflex provides the Yeti with an extremely flexible and functional array of seat positions. There are over 20 different seating combinations, the main functions are as follows:-

Varioflex seating

The outer seats can slide forwards and backwards or recline by up to 13.5 degrees.
To move the outer seats depress the handle underneath the seat.
Slide the seat forwards or backwards whilst holding the lever to obtain the required position.
All seats can be folded down individually by pulling the lever upwards.
The backrests can be folded down on all seats. The middle seat also folds to create an additional armrest. On the SE and Elegance it is also equipped with an integrated cup holder.
To increase the Yeti's boot beyond its 416 litres space with the rear seats up. The seats can be rolled up or removed to increase capacity. To do this depress the lever at the back of the seat when in the fold position and lift the seat up.
Removing the seats or stowing away for increased boot volume
With the seats rolled up and stowed against the front seats boot volume is significantly increased to 1,580 litres.
Attach the stowage hook to the front headrest to keep the seat in a secure position.
To remove the seat fully release the two red clips.
This releases the seat from its locked position.
Conveniently remove the seat out of the car using the carry handle.
All three seats can be removed quickly and easily to create an enormous flat loading space for upto 1,760 litres of space.

The KODA Yeti: a modern SUV. And there are good reasons for it.
Unmatched vistas that you wont find on a map.
Those little adventures that begin right outside your front door.
Perfect for street canyons, shopping terrains and the urban jungle.
The rear lights also extend all the way to the wings and when activated the traditional letter C lights up.
Your driving will gain a whole new dimension thanks to the electrically-adjustable panoramic roof window which allows you to create a large open space above the front seats.
The secret to the distinct design of the Yeti model lies in the combination of a robust appearance with functional details. The characteristic front grille clearly evokes the KODA brand while other elements of the front of the car lend the Yeti an original and striking expression. The main headlamps sweep to the sides of the body. On the side of them are located round lamps with integrated daytime running lights and fog lamps. The Yeti can also be equipped with Bi-Xenon headlamps with rotary modules and front fog lamps with the Corner function (see picture).
Tame the wild at the push of a button.
The Yeti model with a 4x4 drive, backed by the 4th generation Haldex clutch as well as an off-road mode, can easily negotiate even difcult terrain. The offroad term represents a number of functions such as the hill descent assistant or start-up assistant, the adaptation of the ABS, ASR and EDS electronic systems to the driving conditions and a more sensitive accelerator conguration.
The Yeti represents a perfect mix of comfort and practicality as well as sports style and elegance. This is demonstrated for example by the noble steel foot pedal covers or the integrated telescopic headlamp washers.
You will discover state-of-the-art technologies behind the pleasant drive. The Yeti offers a wide choice of radios, navigation systems, phone preparations as well as multifunctional steering wheels. It can also be equipped with MDI (Mobile Device Interface), which is a connector located in front of the gear stick enabling control of an external device through buttons on a radio, navigation system or multifunctional steering wheel. The high technology is further represented by the engines, some of which are available with front-wheel drive. The 1.2 TSI/77kW engine will also be available with an automatic 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox). A complete overview of engine versions and technical specications is included in the catalogue.
The Bolero radio is a modern audio system featuring many functions, including an integrated 6-CD changer. An excellent listening experience will be ensured by the Sound System with 12 speakers plus a digital equaliser.
Recommended gear shift function is displayed in the top right corner of Maxi DOT or on the on-board computer display.
The Columbus navigation system offers, amongst others, off-road navigation. This feature enables you to record and save a route taken by the vehicle off the digitised road network, for example on unpaved roads.
Leave the rush of the city. Without leaving its comforts.
More security. So you have less to worry about.
The double sun shield protects the driver and front passenger from blinding rays entering from the front as well as the side.
The head airbags, which create a wall along the side windows when activated, protect passengers heads in the front and rear.
The front side airbags protect the pelvis and chest of the driver and passenger in the event of a side collision. The height-adjustable WOKS front headrests are designed to protect the cervical spine in case of a rear impact.

The third headrest in the rear is height adjustable and increases the safety of the passenger in the middle seat.
The rear side airbags, which are activated by a side impact, protect the pelvis and chest of passengers on the rear side seats. While the driver airbag is hidden in the steering wheel, the passenger airbag is located in the dashboard. It can be deactivated so that you can t a child seat in the front.
The Boarding Spots, designed to illuminate the entry area, are integrated in the external mirrors and enable you to avoid puddles and stones and so get in the car safely, even in complete darkness.
The Aero wipers, thanks to their special construction, wipe evenly along their whole length. The activation/deactivation buttons of some functions are located on the lower part of the centre panel. Depending on the equipment version, you can nd here for example: ASR, parking sensors, off-road mode, TPM and parking assistant. The alarm with interior monitoring, horn with back-up power and inclination sensor play an important role in the security of the car as such. The driver knee airbag prevents contact with the lower part of the dashboard in the event of a collision.

The dashboard was designed exclusively for the Yeti model and youll intuitively nd all controls exactly where youd expect them. The driving comfort of all passengers is catered for by a range of comfort products, available as standard or extra equipment.
The KODA Yeti GreenLine is prepared for the outdoors, while staying sensitive to the environment.
The Yeti GreenLine is available with the 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77kW diesel engine, which on its own is already a guarantee of an economical operation yet a dynamic drive. With specic equipment and modications to the car it achieves a combined consumption of 4.6 l/100 km at a CO2 emission level of a mere 119 g/km. The GreenLine model is offered in the same three equipment levels as the standard model (see equipment versions).
The original GreenLine badge can be found on the front grille as well as on the 5th door.
The GreenLine version may be equipped with the 7.0J x 16" Nevis alloy wheels. The Active equipment version comes with the 7.0J x 16" steel wheels with Rif hub covers and the Ambition and Experience versions come with the 7.0J x 16" Moon alloy wheels. All wheels for Yeti GreenLine come with 205/55 R16 tyres with low rolling resistance.
The Start-Stop system automatically switches off the engine, for example while waiting at the trafc lights or when moving slowly in a queue of cars. By pressing the clutch pedal the engine automatically restarts. The driver can deactivate the Start-Stop system with a button located on the central console. Engine load reduction and more economical running are further assisted by the energy recovery functionality, which enables an effective use of the cars kinetic energy for battery recharging.

The unique style of the Yeti model can be further enhanced by the Reef package, which contains silver roof railings, silver protective side door strips and 17" Matterhorn alloy wheels in 2-colour design. The package is available for the Ambition and Experience equipment versions.
