|I purchased a Used 2007 FJ Cruiser a few months ago and love it. It is a solid, but no Frills SUV.|

|I love this vehicle. I have owned 3 Jeep Wra... The drive is phenomenal, the style is second to none. I love this vehicle. I bought it and 9 days later went on a busine... Everything about it feels like piloting rugged hardware, not driving a car Blind spots.|

Am I the Land Cruiser type? Dont assume theres just one
type. Since 1951, Toyota Land Cruiser has taken all sorts of people to every corner of the earth. Renowned for its off-road prowess and reliability, Land Cruiser has been used by photojournalists in the Middle East, researchers in the Amazon, doctors in Africa, you name it. Ultimately, though, Land Cruiser is for anybody in search of real adventure, one-of-a-kind experiences and journeys that dont involve a gift shop. Because what unites Land Cruiser owners isnt a background but a belief. A belief that the world is worth exploring.
The 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser. Moving Forward.
Every time you start off on a journey, whether its a quiet weekend away or a quick trip around town, rest assured were with you every step of the way. For more than 50 years, Toyota engineering has created more than just durable vehicles. Its created enduring memories.
Land Cruiser shown in Magnetic Gray Metallic with available Upgrade Package.
SMART KEY SYSTEM1
Searching for adventure beats hunting for your keys. So when you approach Land Cruiser with the Smart Key fob in your pocket, the interior illuminates automatically. This hands-free feature also lets you unlock the doors when you touch the door handle and simply push a button to start the vehicle.
Where can it take me?
Virtually anywhere. Since its arrival, Toyotas legendary SUV has visited hundreds of countries and logged millions of miles on countless different types of terrain. That should give you lots of condence as you contemplate your next expedition. Because few, if any, other vehicles have Land Cruisers nearly 60-year track record of getting intrepid souls to places others will only ever see in photographs. 5.7L Dual Independent VVT-i V8
With all the power and torque on tap in Land Cruiser, even the most inhospitable terrain seems inviting. Under the hood lies a 5.7-liter Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) 32-valve V8. Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) help the engine produce a whopping 381 hp and 401 lb.-ft. of torque.
Voice-activated DVD navigation system
You cant very well stop and ask for directions when youre the only person around for miles. So its good to know that Land Cruiser offers an available voice-activated touch-screen DVD navigation system. It could well be the key to getting back. Other available features include a backup camera3 and hands-free phone and music streaming via Bluetooth4 wireless technology.

Why does Land Cruiser have such a following?
Its taken people to the ends of all seven continents. More importantly, its brought them back. Land Cruiser loyalty comes from the tales owners have returned to tell. Those adventures also reveal a Land Cruiser creed: Its not the one with the most toys who wins. Its the one with the most stories.
Whats it like driving the Land Cruiser?
Luxury, exclusivity, comfort and unparalleled ride quality all these are apparent the moment youre inside Land Cruiser. But the undeniable condence you feel behind the wheel owes to something else: Land Cruisers legendary 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) system and a chassis thats proven itself off road time and again. When you think about it, luxury and rugged capability are a perfect combination. After all, you can take the man out of civilization, but you cant take the civilization out of the man. JBL Synthesis audio system
Providing the soundtrack for your adventures is Land Cruisers available JBL Synthesis AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with 14 speakers, including a subwoofer. It also features XM Radio1 with a 90-day trial subscription. Music streaming and hands-free phone capability are made possible via Bluetooth2 wireless technology. Theres also an auxiliary audio jack and a USB3 port with iPod4 connectivity.
Steering wheel-mounted controls
Without your hands ever leaving the wheel, you can control Land Cruisers Multi-Information Display, JBL Synthesis audio system, available voice-activated DVD navigation system5 and Bluetooth2 hands-free phone features.
Land Cruisers wood-grain-style center console, with its leather-trimmed shift lever, offers more than just a note of refinement. Thats where the controls for Land Cruisers Crawl Control (CRAWL)6 are located. Its remarkable to be able to navigate through untamed terrain from such sophisticated surroundings.
Active Seatbelt Pretensioning System
Land Cruiser inspires confidence, and this feature is no exception. When the vehicle detects excessive wheelslip or sudden braking, it helps to enhance restraining performance for front-seat passengers by using a motor on the seatbelt retractors that cinches their seatbelts.
LONGEVITY FACT: Excessive heat wreaks havoc on ordinary transmissions. But Land Cruiser isnt equipped with a run-of-the-mill transmission. Its oil coolers temperature is regulated by both air and water another factor contributing to Land Cruisers legendary reliability.

What does Land Cruisers interior offer?
Its been used in races across the Arctic. As medical transport in Africa. For ranch work in the outback. Given all the ways people have used Land Cruiser over the years, its no surprise the 2011 Land Cruisers interior is both exceptionally versatile and truly comfortable. Theres seating for eight, with plenty of room for all. And a split-fold design on the second and third rows so you can trade seats for extra cargo space. Step one: Figure out where youre headed. Step two: Congure as needed. Four-zone automatic climate control
With Land Cruisers four-zone automatic climate control, the driver, front passenger and two second-row passengers can each control their own individual temperature environments. Twenty-eight vents located throughout the cabin further enhance everyones comforts.
Rear-seat entertainment system
Land Cruisers available rear-seat DVD entertainment system makes even long journeys seem a lot shorter. It features a 9-inch display and 1 two wireless headphones, and allows you to play movies or games with compatible consoles.
Beneath the armrest on Land Cruisers center console, theres an available cooler box2 that can accommodate as many as six 12-oz. water bottles. If youd spent decades in the dry and dusty Australian outback, youd probably come up with something like this yourself.
Memory seats and heated seats
Land Cruisers 10-way power-adjustable drivers seat has a memory function that lets you set it to the individual preferences of three different drivers. As well, both driver and front passenger seats offer multi-stage heating a feature that is also available for the second row.
LONGEVITY FACT: Considering all the comforts inside Land Cruiser, you might overlook the rugged engineering thats built into this vehicle. Case in point: the forged-steel crankshaft, which excels in rigidity and wear resistance.
1. See footnote 11 in Disclaimers section. 2. See footnote 16 in Disclaimers section.
ENDLESS VERSATILITY The leather-trimmed interior features a foldaway third-row seat, taking the overall seating capacity to eight. But the split/ fold design of the second and third rows also allows for a huge range of cargo-carrying configurations, topping out at 1 81.7 cubic feet. Passengers, gear or both its up to you.
1. See footnote 23 in Disclaimers section.
How far has it gone during those nearly 60 years?
The rst Land Cruiser set out decades ago. In that time its traveled to the most remote places on the planet. But its made an even more important journey as well. Its gone from being Toyotas rst 4WD vehicle to an icon of rugged reliability trusted around the globe. Thats one path we intend to keep following.
Land Cruiser shown in Sonora Gold Pearl with available Upgrade Package.
How can Land Cruiser reach all those places?
Theres a reason its called Land Cruiser. This is a vehicle that easily cruises over terrain that would stop lesser vehicles in their tracks. Why? Because when youve been tackling extreme environments as long as Land Cruiser has, you learn how to combine both proven engineering and advanced technologies to help you get where youre going. Take a closer look. Crawl Control (CRAWL)1
Think of this as off-road cruise control. In rough, low-traction situations, CRAWL takes over the braking and throttle functions, allowing you to concentrate on steering. Once activated, CRAWL helps negotiate tough terrain at one of three walking speeds. It helps prevent wheel lock and wheelspin and reduces pitch, bounce and roll. All of which lessens stress on the Land Cruisers drivetrain and driver.
Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)
Traditional suspension systems are tuned to perform well on paved roads, but they can compromise off-road performance. KDSS automatically optimizes suspension performance both on the highway and off. On the road, it helps suppress body roll to enhance cornering performance. Off road, KDSS relaxes sway control on rough terrain for increased suspension articulation. This helps tires maintain contact with the ground on uneven terrain, and minimizes body tilt.
Hill Start Assist Control (HAC)2
From a standing start on an incline, HAC helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards as the driver switches from the brake to the accelerator. It does so by automatically braking individual wheels as required. HAC can take much of the stress and strain out of climbing steep hills, mountains and the like.

PROVEN SUSPENSION Land Cruiser is equipped with an independent double-wishbone front suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bar. The 4-link rear suspension features coil springs, stabilizer bar and a semi-floating axle. Trustworthy? You bet. Land Cruisers reputation is riding on it.
SKID PLATES To help protect Land Cruisers front suspension, radiator, fuel tank and transfer case, the vehicle is equipped with reinforced skid plates.
RIGID BODY, RIGID FRAME Land Cruisers unitized steel body is attached to a rock-solid ladder frame made of hightensile-strength steel, and reinforced by ten steel cross members. Side-impact door beams add further rigidity.
PURPOSE-BUILT STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST To enhance performance over uneven terrain, the angles on Land Cruisers outer muffler casing have been removed. To increase power, independent exhaust tubes feed separately into the main muffler rather than interconnecting, reducing pressure loss.
6-SPEED AUTOMATIC Clutch-to-clutch control gives Land Cruisers 6-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT) a lightweight, compact design. This improves performance and increases fuel efficiency in all conditions.
MULTI-TERRAIN 4-WHEEL ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) ABS sensors detect wheel lockup during emergency braking situations, and the system helps compensate by pulsing individual wheel brakes. By adapting to off-road conditions such as sand, gravel or mud, this standard Multi-terrain 4-wheel ABS is ideally suited for Land Cruiser.
TEN AIRBAGS1 AND MORE Land Cruiser comes with ten airbags that cover every row of seats and include driver and front passenger knee airbags. The front seats also incorporate active headrests2 which can help reduce the severity of whiplash injuries.
TORSEN3 LIMITED-SLIP CENTER DIFFERENTIAL Loss of traction can happen off road and on. This feature, standard on Land Cruiser, can help make the difference. It effectively helps maintain vehicle control when certain wheels lose grip a familiar event off road. But it also helps with driver control during acceleration and high-speed driving on pavement. Whats more, the torque distribution in Land Cruisers Torsen limited-slip center differential has been optimized from front to rear to enhance cornering performance.

1. Toyota strives to build vehicles to match customer interest and thus they typically are built with popular options and option packages. Not all options/packages are available separately and some may not be available in all regions of the
country. See toyota.com for information about options/packages commonly available in your area. If you would prefer a vehicle without any or with different options, contact your dealer to check for current availability or the possibility of placing a special order. 2. Torsen is a registered trademark of Zexel Torsen, Inc. 3. The Toyota Land Cruiser is designed to meet most off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous. Abusive use may result in bodily harm or vehicle damage. Toyota encourages responsible operation to protect you, your vehicle and the environment. Seatbelts should be worn at all times. 4. Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owners Manual for further details. 5. XM services require a subscription after 90-day trial period. Subscriptions governed by XM Customer Agreement available at xmradio.com. If you decide to continue your XM service at the end of your complimentary trial, the plan you choose will automatically renew and bill at then-current rates unless you call 1-800-967-2346 to cancel. Fees and programming subject to change. Available only to those at least 18 years of age in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. 6. May not be compatible with all MP3/WMA players and like models. 7. iPod is a registered trademark of Apple, Inc. All rights reserved. 8. The Bluetooth word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Toyota is under license. Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners. The Bluetooth wireless technology phones listed on toyota.com have been tested for compatibility with Toyota vehicles. Performance will vary based on phone software version, coverage and your wireless carrier. Phones are warranted by their manufacturer, not Toyota. 9. Availability and accuracy of the information provided by the navigation system or any XM services mentioned (if installed) are dependent upon many factors. Use common sense when relying on information provided. Services not available in every city or roadway. Periodic navigation updates available at additional cost. See your Navigation System Owners Manual or contact XM for details. 10. The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Cold weather will limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. 11. Headphones are for passenger use only. Do not use while operating vehicle. 12. The Toyota Tire Pressure Monitor alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See your Owners Manual for details. 13. The Smart Key System may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. 14. HomeLink is a registered trademark of Johnson Controls, Inc. 15. Available on select 2011 Toyota models. Contact with the Safety Connect response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency service support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. One-year trial subscription available only with new vehicle purchase of Safety Connect-equipped vehicles. Additional subscription terms available; charges vary by subscription term selected. 16. The cooler box replaces the center-console storage box on vehicles so equipped. 17. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owners Manual for further details. 18. Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance and tire and road conditions. 19. Smart Stop Technology operates only in the event of certain simultaneous brake and gas pedal applications. When engaged, the system will reduce engine power to help the brakes bring the vehicle to a stop. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver input can all impact stopping distance. Smart Stop Technology is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving and does not guarantee instant stopping. Please see your Owners Manual for further details. 20. All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See your Owners Manual for further information/warnings. 21. Active front headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. 22. The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a Smart Key fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key or Smart Key fob matches the code in the vehicles immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or Smart Key fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or Smart Key fob, your Toyota dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org 23. Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. 24. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owners Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment. Calculated with new SAE J2807 method. 25. 2011 EPA-estimated mileage. Actual mileage will vary. 26. This floor mat was designed specifically for use in your model and model year vehicle and SHOULD NOT be used in any other vehicle. To avoid potential interference with pedal operation, each mat must be secured with retention hooks/clips. Do not install a floor mat on top of an existing floor mat.
Toyota Land Cruiser is designed to meet most off-road driving requirements. Abusive use may result in bodily harm or damage. The Land Cruiser FJ25 was introduced to the U.S. in 1958 as a two-door utility vehicle. The Land Cruiser is the only Toyota model that has been continuously sold in the U.S. since the founding of TMS. In the early 1960s, Toyota experimented with Land Cruiser pickups and station wagons. The Land Cruiser FJ20 series, the first Toyota vehicle sold in the U.S. was the successor of the BJ Series When introduced, the Land Cruiser rejuvenated the off road market by being the only off road vehicle that could go 85 mph while the competition topped out at 55 mph. The FJ40 was the most popular Land Cruiser model being sold from the early 1960s till the introduction of the FJ70 in the mid 1980s. The early Land Cruiser was a rugged piece of durable workmanship epitomized by the FJ 40. The iconic FJ40 replaced the FJ25 in 1960, priced at $2,665 for the soft-top and $2,995 for the hardtop, and powered by a 135hp 6-cylinder model F engine. The FJ40 featured a fold-down windshield, a 4 speed manual transmission, canvas-top doors and curtains on soft-top models, hub caps, a tool box, hydraulic clutch, flashing directional signals, front towing hooks, outside rearview mirrors and oil, fuel, and air cleaners. Options included a winch. The FJ40 was available in many different forms including a longer wheelbase with soft top (FJ43), a four-door wagon with a hard top (FJ45V) and a pickup (FJ45). In 1967, Toyota introduced the 55 series, a Land Cruiser wagon, that evolved into a rugged SUV. By the mid-1980s, the FJ40 was discontinued and the station wagon became a luxury SUV. In 2006, the newest Land Cruiser, the FJ Cruiser, was introduced with styling reminiscent of the early FJ models in its design.
