Scan to SMB With the Scan to SMB (Server Message Block) feature, users can store scanned documents directly to a shared folder in the users PC. An excellent choice for mid-size workgroups, this model is equipped with an integrated legal-size flatbed scanner, standard automatic duplexing, 50-page automatic document feeder and 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface. A highly reliable multifunction printer, the SCX-6322DN completed a 10,000-impression durability test without a single service call or misfeed. Procedures for removing and replacing the print cartridge and drum unit were also straightforward. Featuring up to 1200-dpi-class enhanced resolution, the SCX-6322DN produced admirable image quality in print mode, receiving Very Good or Excellent ratings in all categories evaluated. In addition, the units performance in the BLIs job stream test, at 86.65 percent of its rated engine speed when using the PCL driver, represents one of the best performances for products in this category to date. The SCX-6322DN also proved to be a productive unit, displaying first-print-out times for all five file types tested that are competitive to above average. Furthermore, the units first-copy times from the platen and the document feeder are competitive, as are its fax scanning speeds at both 4 percent and 12 percent page coverage. And the SCX-6322DNs copy efficiency is above average in 1:1 and 1:2 modes and competitive in 2:2 mode, while its print efficiency is above average in 1:1 mode and slightly above average in 2:2 mode. Print output was rated Very Good or Excellent in all categories evaluated. The units performance in the job stream is one of the best for models in this category tested to date. First-print-out times are competitive to above average for all file types tested. The unit exhibited very good multitasking capabilities, allowing users to reserve a copy job while another copy job or a print job is in progress. Automatic duplexing is standard. Toner yield is higher than the average for competitive models. Standard and maximum paper capacities are higher than the average. In fact, the units maximum paper capacity of 1,200 sheets is about twice the average for competitive models.
