Our 3.8-liter Lambda V6 is an ideal powerplant for challenging the rigid sports car status quo. Consider the specs: 306 horsepower at 6,300 rpm, 266 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm and 0 to 60 mph in well under 6 seconds. Prefer your power turbocharged? Our 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing engine (DCVVT) uses an intercooled turbocharger to pump out 210 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and pours on a peak 223 lb-ft of torque at an impressively low 2,000 rpm. So settle into the cockpit and seize the power. The standard gearbox is a close-ratio 6-speed manual with triple-cone synchronizers on first through third gears to help ensure smooth shifting. Or you can opt for a paddle-shift SHIFTRONIC transmission (6-speed on our 3.8 model, 5-speed on the 2.0T model). Either way, its fun at your fingertips.

The front-engine, rear-drive architecture of the Genesis Coupe allowed our engineers to minimize front overhang and position the engine mass behind the front axle. As a result, the cars weight is better balanced for a neutral handling character and responsive steering feel.
TORSEN LIMITED SLIP DIFFerENTIAL

Standard on the 2.0T R-Spec and 3.8 R-Spec and Track models, the Torsen limited slip differential gets its name from the units TORque-SENsing ability. It distributes rear-wheel torque according to available traction for enhanced acceleration and cornering dynamics.

Like six airbags and active front head restraints to help protect you in the event of an accident. Like Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System and Brake Assist to help you avoid an accident in the first place.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
Each wheel is equipped with a sensor located in the valve stem. In the event any tire reaches critically low air pressure, a warning light on the instrument panel alerts you.4

Genesis Coupe comes standard with an airbag system that includes dual advanced front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags and dual side air curtains.1
ESC is an active safety system that automatically applies the brakes to individual wheels and adjusts throttle input as needed to help keep Genesis Coupe driving in the direction you want to go.2

ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS

Active front head restraints move upward and forward in certain rear-end collisions to help provide extra protection against whiplash.
TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS)

HID XENON HEADLIGHTS

For greater control when accelerating or driving on slippery road surfaces, the standard TCS on Genesis Coupe reduces engine power and/or applies braking to the wheel that is slipping, effectively rerouting power to the wheel that has greater traction.3
Standard on Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track, High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon headlights offer greater forward projection and brighter illumination than traditional headlamps. More bright thinking: They also consume less power and have longer life spans.
he Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is designed to work with the 3-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain frontal and/or side-impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The T SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts, which should be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be restrained securely in the rear seat. NEVER place a rear-facing child seat in the front seat of a vehicle that has a passenger-side airbag. 2Electronic Stability Control (ESC) cannot control your vehicles stability under all driving situations. ESC is not a substitute for safe driving practices. No system, no matter how advanced, can overcome physics or correct poor driving. The driver is always responsible for controlling the vehicle and must use caution to avoid loss of control in all driving conditions. Speed, road conditions and driver steering input will affect whether ESC can help prevent loss of control.
