NO.: 0722 AFFECTED PRODUCTS: GPSMAP 520, GPSMAP 520s, GPSMAP 530, GPSMAP 530s, GPSMAP 540, GPSMAP 540s, GPSMAP 550, GPSMAP 550s DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE: Affected GPSMAP 520, 530, 540, 550 units may provide incorrect position information to the user or to interfaced NMEA devices in some circumstances. When this happens: 1) a navigation error may result 2) interfaced NMEA device(s) would not receive correct position information 3) autopilots utilizing the GPS outputs may navigate to unintended locations IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED: 1) Please make this information available to customers of record and users of the affected products. 2) Return affected products to Garmin for repair. To ensure customer safety, Garmin is issuing this recall notice for units within the serial number range listed in the table below. Any affected units are to be returned to Garmin for repair. Any unit outside of this range are not affected.

WARRANTY INFORMATION Factory repair of all units within the listed serial number range will be covered under warranty. Shipping charges to and from Garmins factory will also be covered.
